She's even known to the local angry Ian on Facebook types, who've shared a Mail article. This has absolutely blown up in their faces.

Are we sure it was the hire digger that demolished it and she didn’t just accidentally swing one of her enormous fake cannonball knockers at it

They should have gone the Scooby Doo route and say ghosts did it.

Carly, you’re on the front page of The Times! Probably not for the reason you wanted though. Usually in cases like this it’s the husband pulling the strings and the wife is just there to to sign the odd bit of paperwork, but mainly just enjoy the money. Now I don’t want to be accused of sexism, so I’m happy to acknowledge the possibility that Carly may be a morally bankrupt shit of a businesswoman, with no sense of history or community on her own, without her husband’s help.

Either way, it's pretty clear that it was bought by her company to obfuscate the connection to him.

I’d rather a shameless product placement that doesn’t actually speak on the product, just a bit of flash of the item or the logo, than an actual ad that’s written or produced to talk about said item. And as the writer herself mentioned, it does ground the film in the real world, even if it’s an unrealistic movie like Barbie. The only time product placement takes me out of a movie is in a Sony production, where the protagonist will have like a PlayStation, a pair of Sony headphones, a Sony mobile phone. The PS5 or headphones I can kind of excuse, but nobody buys Xperias.

I remember it quite well, because the camera kept focusing on his Ericsson phone and his Vaio laptop, over and over again for some reason.

Nothing beats the Virgin Records advertising in Dracula 2000 for sheer brazen quantity though. You could absolutely make a drinking game out of it.

Odd the whole superconductor thing hasn't been discussed here at all. It's slowly turning out to be bollocks, sadly, but failure or not, it has manifested a resurgence in study across the board, and new avenues to explore for a true ambient superconductor. It's within our collective grasp.
Better to try and fail than never try at all.
Also, I drunkenly fumbled with a work colleague on Tuesday night. Extremely poor decision, but fuck it, I live for awkward.

It might seem awkward now but could blossom into something much more meaningful, and much much more awkward

Always thought the Energizer sponsorship in "Alan Wake" was a mistake, the batteries kept running out.
