They should have a live countdown timer on screen.

I think I'd rather be in a Smarties tube submarine, it'd go soggy and fall to bits so quickly I could swim to the surface. You'd die of a coronary after eating a load of Smarties that were 7ft in diameter.
There's worse ways of going, being in an imploding submarine after you've paid 250K for the trip is one.

It’s interesting how many secret deep sea submersible experts there are on the internet.

Church of England sacks independent abuse panel
The independent abuse panel kept unearthing examples of abuse - independently! - despite our best efforts to stymie their work, so... yeah. They gotta go.

All jokes aside..its not looking good for the guys in the submarine. Hopefully it imploded..otherwise the alternative is very grim.

The grimmest possibility is that one of them figured the oxygen would last longer if there was fewer people breathing. It's a sub full of billionaires so psychopathy isn't out the question.

Probably not the worst idea. Not sure how much a dead body consumes in oxygen but at this point (if alive) it would be something that crosses your mind surely? People do mental things to survive.

Won't they have all succumbed to hypothermia by now? Or does their mutual body heat kind of keep the temperature up a bit in there, assuming they're on the bottom somewhere.

If they're going to die might as well have a final orgy.
Explains the banging noises.

Implosion an hour and half in seems the likeliest scenario to me, otherwise it seems likely at least one of the fail safe's would have brought them to the surface unless they are snagged on something. Or perhaps they're bobbing around on the surface in their ocean coloured tomb waiting for the oxygen to run out.

Omfg. Watching bbcnews briefly on bbc2. Newscaster chatting with US diving guy who was discussing the issue of rising CO2.
Newscaster : 'So would they have brought in more CO2 canisters with them?'
Ex-navy dude didn't face-palm, but did briefly explain how respiration works. O2 in CO2 out.
Glol.

Saw a very recent article (a few hours old) in my newsfeed about the potential health issues people in the sub will face...
Yeah, I think there's something else that trumps anything they list.

Maybe the newscaster was merely pointing out that they could have taken canisters to erm, catch the CO2 that's exhaled. You know. To keep it out the way.

I saw a documentary once about some people trapped deep underwater who were rescued by aliens who created a pocket of air for them and brought them to the surface. There's still hope

Anyone really fucking old might remember Goliath Awaits, in which survivors of a Titanic style accident survive on the sea bed for decades in the upturned hull, by growing seaweed for oxygen, and forming a primitive society. So there's that.

How long will it take seaweed to grow in a little submarine? I don't know, I think it was a Glen A Larson mini-series, they aren't big on technical detail.

Didn't they bring a pack a straws to manufacture a rudimentary snorkel all the way to the surface?
Or am I clutching at straws?
Sorry.
