So I've got a JVC telly, which the PSPro / PS5 just plug into and work, so hassles. initially, the X1X did, but as time went on, the picture started to cut out at regular intervals, would go completely blank for a few seconds before returning. Finally, it went completely blank, and I had to do a factory reset to get it up and running.
We moved house, and the machine has now decided that my telly isn't a 4k one, despite the Sony machines having never had an issue. On ONE occasion, messing around in the options, I noticed that the 4k options had all returned, but as soon as I changed the console resolution, I got a black screen until it knocked itself back into regular HD. Things I've tried:
using a different HDMI cable (including those used on the PS machines) using different HDMI ports changing the HDMI version in the TV settings
It's hardly a big deal, but it's really annoying me - any ideas?

Also, you're not using a component cable by any chance are you? Newly re-named ex-user phAge?

Haha no, I've tried a new cable (thick HDMI 2.0 or whatever job), I've tried moving inputs - no dice. As I say, the absolute weirdest thing was that it worked absolutely fine in the first instance, but has just behaved progressively weirdly. All very strange.

Given up. My TV definitely does 4k at all the available rates you can select on the Xbox. It recognised it as a 4k TV last night but claimed it was switched off in the options, but again, as soon as I select it, cuts off.
It's some sort of digital handshake issue but fucked if I know what or why.
Gonna run it through an HDMI hub I've nicked from work and see if that helps.
