Also the pass before the second french try was forward but that's marginal.

Berry even started overturning it based on what he saw as that's clearly a fucking try. I cannot describe how angry I am. It was baffling. The only doubt for me was whether it was on the line. Logic said it was but couldn't see conclusively. But that's not what they gave as evidence anyway. Scotland were robbed definitely.

Surely not a red though? Definitely a yellow.

If that gets upgraded I think I'll turn it off.
edit : not upgraded!
Unfortunately penalty try and another binning, England are fucked.

No complaints about the yellows but that is a very debatable call. (In fairness I couldn't quote the relevant law, just never seen such a harsh interpretation).

Getting the basics wrong again and too ill disciplined too.

Might just be because my expectations are so low but I think this has been a pretty good England performance so far.

Not great from England so far - no complaints about the cards, the penalty try, or Ford's botched conversion.

Classic wales turning up with a scratch team amid a tumultuous shambles behind the scenes but still wanting to get on with playing rugby while England just labour their way towards doing fuck all

Well that's better, shame about the conversion but it was a tricky one. Unlike the one in the first fucking half!

Dalys pass was forward though eh

It would be hilarious if this comes down to that first half conversion.

Why did England get the throw after Ford kicked that?

Dalys pass was forward though eh Looked pretty flat/dodgy to me. No slow mo replay on that.

Well that was a bit close for comfort, nice to see England doing some good defending at the end without fucking up and conceding a penalty*. Phew.
*although probably should have rather than getting a line out.

That felt quite silly. Everyone attacking with no structure just weird. Plus Ford getting his conversion charged down was legit funny.

Another week, another barely-deserved England victory.
Earl was good, and took his try brilliantly; Steward settled in after a nervy start; Mitchell looks like an improvement on JVP.
Far from convincing, but I guess it's early days for this squad. Next week's game will be telling.
Why did England get the throw after Ford kicked that?
50-22, I believe.

Yep, one of the commentators said it, without explaining. Here’s the rule. If the team in possession kicks the ball from inside their own half indirectly into touch inside their opponents’ 22, they will throw into the resultant lineout. The ball cannot be passed or carried back into the defensive half for the 50:22 to be played. The phase must originate inside the defensive half.

Dalys pass was forward though eh Looked pretty flat/dodgy to me. No slow mo replay on that. It didn't look forward out the hand and the officials had a pretty good view. There are aspects to like about this England side. It's a work in progress after all. I thought Ford was good, Earl too obviously. We were solid defensively right up until we weren't. Wales weren't great, and the challenge for Borthwick is to maintain an upward trajectory in terms of performance if not results though the tournament. Areas to improve for sure, but considering we played a fair chunk of the match a man or two down that was alright.

Yeah I heard one TMO go "ok that's grounded" so Berry said "OK I'm overturning my on field decision it's a try" then the TMO piped up again and they went backwards. It was fucking baffling how they talked themselves out of it.
