Yeah, can't argue with the decision at all but I'd be banging on the ticket office door. I see Curry is injured as well.

Yeah, imagine if you'd paid £125 odd quid for tickets then that happens. I support the hard stance on dangerous play, but the RFU should be offering partial refunds if this goes the way it should. Ireland by 25 points at least now. Would have been a good game otherwise. Might still be good. Destroying us at the scrums.

Stop dropping the ball and you'll start flying

We basically need Ireland to suffer a total failure of game management, which seems unlikely knowing how good Sexton et al are.
For those not aware, to actually get tickets to Twickenham as a typical punter you have to join 'Club England' which costs about £40 a year, purely for the privilege of entering a ballot for whatever tickets remain after sponsors and RFU partners have their fill. I did this for two years and never managed to get any standard tickets to any tier 1 fixtures (6N & top tests vs Southern Hemisphere) from about eight attempts.
To be fair to the 14 on the pitch, they are giving a great account of themselves thus far, but it'll be the last 20mins that'll be toughest.

Fightimg for everything. Ireland are floundering so far.

We gave it a good go. Duty of care has to be on the tackler, but still seemed a bit unlucky.

No complaints really. The red card was the right call, and those that remained fought valiantly but it was basically out of their hands from that point on, Ireland's to lose. Frankly, they held on longer than they had any right to and that bodes well for the future.

In one sense England a bit unlucky with the red but can't really object to increased strictness when it comes to head knocks. I was reading an article on a load of ex-players with brain dame, early onset dementia etc. not long ago. Sad reading.

It's already ruined lives, World Rugby right to clamp down.

Yeah, the amount of south Africans from the 95 world cup team who have brain disorders is just scary. It was either entirely remove that element from the game or have the game be sued into oblivion and have parents never ever let their kids play.

Steve Thompson's interview in the Guardian is well worth reading.
He also won the world cup and has no qualms in saying he wish he'd never played rugby for the effect it's had on him and his family. Heartbreaking really.
If I was someone like Dan Bigger who is regularly concussed I'd be questioning if its worth it. Even at school level we used to have someone concussed every few weeks. Mad really.

We're playing Blair Kinghorn at 10. Against Ireland. In Dublin. We are fucked.

Gutsy choice dropping Russell. Disaster or genius move…

Russell and Hogg haven't been playing to their usual high standards, that of IMO the best fly half and fullback in the Northern Hemisphere. But they've both had long grueling campaigns in the Premiership, Top14 and Europe plus were involved in the Lions heavily. I think they just need a break. Sutherland has also looked knackered until he was injured.
The Mish is off his usual destructive game. I think they just all need a summer off to rest.
Finn needed a kick up the arse. But we have Adam Hastings as back up 10... so what the fuck is Kinghorn doing there? He's played fine for Edinburgh. But beating Connacht isn't the same as beating Ireland ffs.
The lack of a competitor for fullback after Hogg is alarming, as great as Hogg is.
Summer Tour they should all rest and make Jamie Ritchie the captain. Then give Mclean, Tuipulotu, Thompson, Dobie etc. clean runs for the Argentina games as they're just practice basically.
We need to work out how to beat Ireland urgently as our WC group next year has Ireland and South Africa in it.

Absolutely superb. Great awareness (and very unselfish) to make that pass at the end, knowing they needed the conversion to win.

France a bit too good so far. Some silly mistakes hurting us but they've made some too and should be further ahead really.

We're shocking. It's almost like we've selected badly, stuck square pegs into round holes, have no gameplan, have no structure and are somehow expecting Ben Youngs to have one of his 1-in-10 good games all at once. How odd.

Tend to agree. I know we've got absences but it does feel a bit like we've gone backwards over the past 12 months.
Annoying to watch Sean Edwards once again massively improve a direct rival too.

Yeah, this is bad. Getting made to look fools at the breakdown. Interesting to see that France's game pace has made England play a bit quicker but the discipline and handling just isn't there.

Just haven't seen anything in the last year that suggests we'll be where we want to be for the WC. As you say, gone backwards.
