brainbirdJust joshing - my first post had clearly aged like month-old milk! Disappointing to see Scotland go out, especially after such a limp first-half performance, but credit to them for playing right until the final whistle. Hopefully they'll regroup in time for the 2024 6N.

I don't very often watch this (once again confirmed boring + dumb) game but watched the first half of the game tonight and for a supposed world cup fixture between two of the what 8(?) Real teams it was never a contest. The Scots were just so far off Ireland it really doesn't say much for the sport overall.
I'll probably give it another half go in the next round but my God is it a bad sport.

I wonder how the injuries will work out. Aki and Ringrose were immense again and they should be fine at least. Keith Earls could be making an appearance next weekend, Jimmy O'Brien too (for first time at this WC). Not much between the sides, injuries and cards will probably decide it.

In terms of today's games, Japan vs. Argentina is a winner-takes-all qualification decider, while Fiji vs. Portugal will see Fiji go through (and Australia go out!) if they win - is that about right?
