Its the same in football. The problem is still that you have referees viewing the footage who will have a different interpretation of the laws to another ref, so consistency is impossible. Just leave it to thr onfield ref unless he asks to see footage imo. Hopefully they will get all the TMO officials together after the world cup and review all the decisions they made. Discuss and agree which were right and which were wrong. Get them all on the same page and then we should start to see more consistent decisions.

I'm assuming the bunker team for the whole world cup is not that big. And that all/most of the IRB bunker officials are at the World Cup and thus all in France right now.

True, they don't need to wait until the end of the tournament to reflect and align on decisions.

"the pandemic saw a cut to funding for second-tier clubs from the Rugby Football Union from more than £500,000 in 2020 to just over £150,000."
Does the RFU want professional club Rugby to exist?

Japan look good.
Head on head tackle remains a problematic issue.

Japan should have put that to bed properly, they're fading in the last 20 every game. 50/50 against Arg.
Samoa have been horrible.

The most disappointing teams have been Japan Argentina and Georgia. Also Samoa and Tonga but their shit discipline isn't new.
Australia are a whole special category.

England have had the double luck of an easy group and then our opponents deciding to not to turn up against us.
I still can't get over how awful Argentina were.

Turned on telly hoping to see a much improved Italy holding their own and they're getting absolutely trounced

Italy are much improved. But from the 6N. They beat an absolute dogshit Wales team, and Australia, and the bigger teams have stopped playing dirt trackers for the Italy game. But realistically they're still a bit of a way behind.

They've gone backwards since Crowley said he's leaving. And putting Capuozzo on the wing is fucking dumb.

Having said that Italy in pool C or D would be causing mayhem.

96-17 to the All Blacks.
At least the other teams that have had cricket scores run up against them don't play in a top-tier competition each year. What's Italy's excuse?

If Brodie fuckface Jaws Retallick is scoring against you, it's back to the biggest of boards for drawing things on

Fiji do not look like they've had a rest and they're still awful at line outs

What has happened to Fiji. They're so off the pace. Hopefully some hairdryer treatment will do the trick.

No fucking way that was forward. If it was then NZ should be about 12th in the world rankings.

Scotland looked a bit nervy at first - doubtless aware of the pressing need to secure a bonus point - but they seem to be settling down.
Darcy Graham is some player.

Did you see that pass where he flung it 20 metres over two players straight into the breadbasket of someone at full tilt? Don't see that from many wingers

A Scotland riding high off this performance versus a battered Ireland who’ve had to play like it was a final 2 weeks ago might turn up a surprise result

Nah not seeing it, it's Scotland A today in a barely opposed training game that included a spell of 15 v 12. I don't see anything there to scare Ireland other than Darcy Graham being a bit of a freak, but Manbun Lowe is capable of dealing with him.
I'd love it to happen so that Rassie loses his shit again though (come on Ireland, throw the match blatantly but not too blatantly). The cunt.

I love Darcy. I'm still predicting Scotland win but only by 6 points and someone misses a kick in the 83rd minute, going out of the tournament anyway.
