Nice to see football federations richer than God spending money exactly how I would when I was 10 years old.

Ha. Fucking hell that is dumb.
I've seen Real/ Mbappe is cooling. Be funny if he ends up staying at PSG because no one else can afford him.
And Chinese fans being salty that Messi didn't play in a friendly but did a few days later in Japan, despite allegedly having a written agreement he'd appear.

Feeling Kane won't win the league this year.

Bayern getting absolutely pummeled. Kane going over and finishing 2nd in a one horse race is completely on brand.

Given bayern apparently have one of their best point tallies at this stage in recent years, that's a wee bit harsh. Great news for leverkeusen though.
Bayern were well beaten today by the looks of, and it's always nice when the big boys get beaten. 😀

PSG have supposedly offered Mbappe £1.3m a week to stay. I don't see how Real can offer anything like that, and I hope they don't. The constant wage inflation is killing football more than the transfer inflation.

If he stays, which I hope and don't think he will, he should be tied down to a lifetime contract because I'm sick of the circus that surrounds him.

The rumoured offer is a two year deal so I'm afraid that if that's true, the Mbappe circus is still coming to town for the next two summers.

ivory Coast looking like they're going to win the AFCON, Nigeria look absolutely knackered and aren't getting back in this.

Having an hour and a half of advert full Super Bowl coverage more important than showing the immediate aftermath of the win. Brutal.

Having an hour and a half of advert full Super Bowl coverage more important than showing the immediate aftermath of the win. Brutal. I turned off straight away but that sounds hugely disrespectful. Hard to believe just how bad Nigeria were. I can scarcely remember them doing anything positive of note about from Troost-Ekong's goal. Very happy for Haller though, after everything he's been through.

Nigeria was weak in the final. Very happy for Côte d'Ivoire though. After barely scraping through the group stage they gained confidence and were increasingly convincing. I saw the first match between these two teams almost three weeks ago and it's difficult to believe those were the same two teams.

Can safely say Tuchel's never getting a big job again. Must be looking to replace him even if it's just till the end of the season.

It'll be Alonso to Bayern.
Tuchel to Newcastle seems sensible too.

Howe is a very good coach and the turnaround he’s managed in the players who were here pre-takeover has been incredible but finishing 7th or 8th this season and getting dumped out of Europe altogether in the group stage as well as admitting that mistakes have been made regarding keeping players fit?
He’s got a lot of goodwill behind him and I think everyone who follows the club would hate to see him go but I can’t see the Saudis being happy with a perceived regression this season and would put money on him being out of the job by Christmas even if they don’t try and line up a continental tier manager for the summer. Especially if Ashworth going to Man U means reorganising behind the scenes.
I don’t know if Tuchel would be the right manager for Newcastle but if you think Howe is the Mark Hughes / Ranieri of the club then you’d expect someone of Tuchel’s profile to be on the clubs radar. Unless they pull the Mourinho lever and play a big Sir Bobby was his mentor homecoming narrative.
