Does anyone actually own one of the fridges or toaster? Picked up a toaster from curry’s with the price reduction. It fits in my kitchen better and the slot is wider than my old toaster. The LCD counter is a nice touch as well.

I wish toasters in Aus were big enough for a bagel and had a bagel button. I'd buy one if it was big enough for bagels.

Was The Hong Kong Massacre announced for Xbox? Cause it's suddenly available and 20% off.

Thinking of driving back into Xbox. I have the sub setup for Xbox streaming via my Samsung TV. It's ok but video quality is poor at times. And I'm on 1gb wired fiber! The monthly sub makes this a no brainer. But the graphics...
So S or X? I know the obvious differences between the 2. The price point of the S is brilliant though. Is there really much difference with quality of graphics between the two? Anything else I'm missing? My TV is 4k, 120hz etc etc.
Thank you as always ✌️

Just boils down to how much spare cash do you have and how anal are you about graphics. S and x in my house and the s is an amazing machine. I can’t think of any electric device I could buy for £200 that is as good as the S

Go with the S if it’s going to be a Gamepass machine. The storage is only 500GB, but very few Gamepass games will warrant that kind of space. I’ve got about 18 games downloaded on mine and the storage is only half full.
Also, everything looks nice. Even Hellblade 2 looked nice and we/she were/was constantly swapping between the S and X consoles during our/her recent playthrough.

I went for the series S at the start of the gen and regretted it, but in fairness that was coming from a One X and before they'd improved things with native Series updates for older games. The game I was playing at the time (Man of Medan) looked noticeably worse on the S, but that was probably because it defaulted to the regular Xbox version instead of the One X enhanced one.
If you've got the cash to spare I'd say series X as it's more of a 4K machine.

Just for balance, I've got a Series S paired with an LG OLED C2 and I find nearly everything looks fantastic.
There's a few games that drop to 30FPS instead of 60 on the Series X. If that's quite important to you I'd probably plump for the X. Storage is shite on the S too - ended up buying an expansion card in a sale (which was still overpriced).

There’s the black 1tb S now although I’m not sure how much extra it is. That’s if you need that extra space. The standard S will let you have a good 5 games on there if you are playing the bigger games. If it’s a mix of games more 7-8

Black version is an extra £50 but nearly double the space.

Black version is an extra £50 but nearly double the space. Oh I’d deffo recommend that then. Looks good and double the space so no need to keep deleting games if above user plays lots of different titles. If he is a cod fifa whore then could stick with the original S

I'm very happy with the series X and if you want the best possible way to play then that's the obvious choice. But from what I've seen the S runs great unless you listen to digital foundry who zoom in x2000 to show slightly weaker shadows.

That 320gig or so of usable space is for me a huge limiting factor for Series S. Forza Horizon 5 alone (great game to have permanently installed) is 140gb. You need to keep another 10gig or so free just for games to be able to update. It's all digital too so physical storage media doesn't help.
The storage expansion cards are very overpriced but you can use a USB3 SSD to alleviate the pain of having to re-download stuff or for storing your last gen digital collection.

Yeah the Series S really should have been 1TB just like they really should have had added an extra gig of RAM. It's a good way into next gen but they really were quite severe on certain cuts that didn't need to happen because it really isn't the 1440p machine that they originally positioned it as.
