If you're really desperate you can pick up Agony for 79p.

Do the old Fallout games (3/Vegas) run well on XSX?

Yeah. 4K too. I want to say they have FPS boost but I'm not certain on that part.

I've never played Vegas but it's suppose to be really good. Got a soft spot for Fallout 3 though and feeling a bit nostalgic
Do you know if they're very crashy/buggy, would I be likely able to finish them before the game starts dying?
On PC, it always got to the point where I'd have to start using the console to warp around because it'd keep crashing out in the world (that was with mods)

I can't say for certain because I've never completed them, but for the most part Xbox versions of Bethesda titles have been less buggy than their PC or PS counterparts.

I played a good 15-20 hours of Fallout 3 on Series X earlier this year and had a great time. Runs fantastically well.

Xbox.com has them for sale, in many varieties. They had at least a regular wireless one to purchase (I could add to cart). You could always go all fancy bollocks and get one from the design lab. On Xbox store you can get the red, white, blue and black ones at the mo, but not the anniversary one, loony toons or cameo ones etc. As you say trying to find one out in the wild is like finding rocking horse shite...unless you want to spunk over £100 on Amazon etc. The design lab doesn't work on the xbox store, but does on the web version.

Do the old Fallout games (3/Vegas) run well on XSX? Both are now 4K60 and super fast loading on Series X. Same with Oblivion.

Controller that came with the console has started not tracking left stick up/down properly... Fixable or claimable on warranty? Only about 5 months old.

I currently have mine set to Cheapo power setting: it just seemed the right thing to do for the household. And, I’ve suddenly rediscovered my initial joy of the power of the “Instant On” or Standby setting. I’d temporarily forgotten my early joy during those first few weeks of ownership when the console was first released. Being able to switch on, do literally about 60 seconds progress in Oblivion or similar, and then switch off again, all without the family actually noticing, is well worth the estimated £25 extra annual cost

Same here - tried it but hated it. When you game in small pockets of time every second counts.

Can someone confirm my suspicion? This bundle, which normally is £72, does not allow you to play the solo game? Even though it says it includes the Story Mode? You either get the Ultimate Edition for £89.99 or buy this gimped version and Red Dead Online separately?

Some of the comments saying it's just DLC. Needs the full game to work. Bit pointless Ultimate is £31.49......

Just buy it on CDKeys, it's £20.99
Or £30.99 for Ultimate

Cool. Just wanted to get that confirmed. No major thing, because as the eagle-eyed commentator above said, the ultimate version is just a bit more at the moment. I was really thinking more of folk, that are looking at this game when it is not on sale and get caught out. It's terribly labelled. In my opinion.

Not sure even what the DLC is. There hasn't been any yet as far as I know so what you get for 25 quid I've no idea. I know what you don't get

It's the game(sp/mp) plus the bonus content that came with pre ordering and buying from certain stores/sites such as outfits, horses and some extra side missions like the little bank robbery.

Yeah just looked. It shows in the description it's just the extra content that came with the ultimate edition.

Are Xbox sales frequent/good/worth waiting for? I was going to get the BL3 DLC but it's £40 at the moment (was expecting something more like £25-30 for the season pass) and anything else I wanted to buy was proper full price There's also a second season pass for £25 If you haven't already picked it up, the Ultimate edition is in this weeks sale for £34.

Bought a Series S and game pass recently, after years of being PC + Switch only, and it's so bloody good having access to hundreds of great games and a system that just works and plays games really well with no poor resolution or jittery framerates taking me out of the experience.
I should have got one at launch.

Now imagine the numbers if they released....... Blue Dragon 2 I only just caught this, but technically it would be Blue Dragon 4, the series had two DS only entries.

Yeah never played those so wasn't sure if they followed the first or just spin offs. To be fair a BD remake would probably shift a few in Japan. The S seems to be the perfect chance for MS to try in Japan they just need to get those Japanese games.

Vortex It's Toriyama, man, what do you want from me I will say this though, his character designs look great and each have their uniqueness, but he's surprisingly formulaic between the four franchises (Blue Dragon, Chrono Trigger, Dragon Ball and Dragon Quest) he's worked on. I mean, just look up (in franchise order) Zola (or Delphinium, but she's anime only), Ayla, Androids 18/21 and Debora (DQ5) or Jade (DQ11) and tell me you don't see a resemblance. They're his "no-nonsense, mature woman fighter" archetype. Or Shu, Chrono, Goku and DQ5's Hero (as a child, mostly) as the happy protagonist (spiky hair recommended) Or General Logi (again, anime only), Magus, Vegeta and Human Psaro (DQ4)/Hendrick (DQ11) as the antagonist-turned-ally... He does it a lot, is what I'm saying. And again, it's by no means a bad thing, the characters themselves are all great and unique, just that the pattern gets rather obvious at some point (there's more in each archetype and more archetypes too, btw, I'm just going off the top of my head right now)

Rather enjoyable games, too, if not quite as good as the original.
