Reading through some of the thoughts in the Gaming Industry thread, I thought it might be nice to have one to highlight lesser known indie titles that are currently being played or maybe missed at some point.
I've enjoyed a couple recently on PC via Steam...
Super Video Golf - a retro inspired golf game by a single dev that's still adding extras to it. The dev has been really attentive to users and it's just lovely to see. Has a small, friendly usergroup playing matches online on Sunday evenings too. Really enjoyable and I'm still dipping into it months after getting it.
Rainy Day Racer - small scale racing game set in a wet Scottish town with only 6 tracks and 3 vehicles. You just do solo time trials but it's fun and reasonably captivating in the short term with a quirky drift mechanic. Lovely atmosphere and retro PS1/Dreamcast-ish visuals. Might be another solo dev. I've got more out of it than I thought and that's just trying to beat the par times for each track. If you're into shaving seconds off your laps and chasing the leaderboards then I think it will offer plenty more.
I've also been having fun with Stick Fight: The Game, playing it locally with my nephew and neice. Loads of yelling and laughing and it often gets requested when they're round.
