Quite surprised by the revelations in that trailer, even though I think the film will still end up being merely OK.
Much more excited by Disney's Wish, even if the much-ballyhooed "new art style" just makes it look like a feature-length episode of Sofia the First.

Not sure if the new Oppenheimer trailer is anywhere online yet (I saw it before Guardians yesterday) but it's actually very good. I absolutely hated the bloody timer one but this is worth watching.
Still think switching from colour before the first test to black and white after is pretty pretentious though.

Sony really doesn’t need to translate every IP into a film. I don’t need to see Knack:the movie.

I know it's been linked in the previous page, but saw the trailer for Asteroid City and it really failed to land for me.
I just found the meticulous composition on screen and general tone just a bit too affected. I'm too aware of the artifice and it became too distracting and distancing.

There are a lot of games that would translate well into the film world, they’re usually not the biggest names and would need a lot of reinterpreting but they’re more than good inspiration. I’m surprised nothing like the Baldurs Gate films have made it over or others like that. There have been so many racing games made into films. |
