For the life of me I will NEVER understand the trailer before the trailer telling you you're going to watch a trailer. I understand it's for being classed as "view" on YouTube and Twitter but I guess this is just my old man rants at clouds bit.

I shall give my opinion on the trailers...
This forum post, starts, now.
Enjoyed the American one more than the international, it certainly leans more into the comedy and the nostalgia aspect (especially with the characters returning that weren't in Afterlife), while the international seemed more to go for the light horror stuff and a bit more explanation of the set up.
Any way I'm certainly looking at it as an early birthday present as it comes out the day before it.

The international version is interesting because it's clearly trying to sell a film that's trading on a lot of nostalgia to an audience that hasn't got that built in like it has in the west. So they've had to make a trailer that actually explains the premise properly.

Presumably the film is mostly humans getting whacked at the start, maybe some fight back when the fairly straightforward fight back strategy is discovered.

I'm a big ape fan, well mostly the original films (60s/70s). It's interesting to me how they take slices of the original, and twist it to make it 'original'. |

The new ones are great. Looking forward to #4. Can't say I've ever been a fan of the originals. The first of the rebooted trilogy was decent enough, but the second one when Matt Reeves got involved was absolutely stellar. Saw it twice in the cinema. |
