Apparently DLSS and FSR etc are not available (yet) on the Game Pass version. That answers my confusion at least. Coming July apparently... though I'm not sure I'd return to it very quickly.

About a third of the way in (on PS5) and I’m loving it so far. Yes it’s a walking sim with added interactions and stealth sections so far but the graphical fidelity, voice acting, audio and characterisation (not least the rig itself) and evilness ensues makes for a pretty gripping and intense ride so far. Not jump scary but slow dread with the occasional raised heart rate scary. Colour me impressed!
It’s also swearier than Shitecunt Fuckbastard. And we all know he had a dirty mouth!

Completed today (seriesX), lots to really like and enjoy. Not quite EGTTR level of perfection, but glad I played. Massive The Thing Vibes all the way through, which is awesome obviously!

You don't need to buy it just now. You've got loads to play and it'll be cheaper/on sale eventually. You could save it for spooky season and utilise the longer nights
It sounds like it's quite short though and you could just sneak it in and play it over a couple of nights
It's a dilemma

I looked up the voice cast and the actor that plays Roy is actually Barnsley FC fan (Roy mentions his team)
Also if you start a new game, some achievements will track on new game as I got: Snoop and Good with leccy at the start of the game

Ah, didn't spot the thread for this.
Picked it up yesterday. The npc speech is actually extremely good. Very surprisingly good in fact, giving a fantastic sense of place.
And while I've only just started it, you can feel something is very wrong which is great and also, to the delight of you all I'm sure, I managed to fall to my death in the sea no less than 8 times trying to jump climb onto a rickety ladder.

Just had a look at the voice cast. Clive Russell (Spaced, Game of Thrones and much more); Karen Dunbar (Chewin' the Fat amongst other things - not seen / heard her for bloody years); Shaun Dooley (saw him most recently in The Witcher), and other names I recognise. Good cast.

I actually think this is my GOTY so far. I absolutely loved Alien Isolation and consider it one of my all time favourite games. Horror games for me are only tense when I’m really limited by attacking. Let’s face it we’d all fucking run if we saw monsters.

Yeah, when I'm playing this, I'm searching around and looking and hearing all kinds of horrible shit going on, then eerie silence with the odd bit of scary ambient sound and I keep forgetting that I haven't got a gun or a melee weapon, and it's exactly when I realise that, that makes me shit myself even more. Its got a fantastic sense of place.
