It's either that Fury is actually scared of losing (surely not of being hurt) or that this is the same scenario as his brother and Jake Paul - keep the rollercoaster going on socials for as absolutely long as possible so that when it probably happens in Autumn or whatever there's maximum hype.
I think it's the former.

Bit boring. Old AJ probably KOs him in 6 rounds. New boring conservative AJ just not great to watch. Not even particularly good boxing. Just a lot of grabbing.

Dull as dishwater. AJ jabbed ok, landed a few decent shots but utterly failed to follow anything up. Easy win but so very dull.

I'm no expert, but I think AJ's problem now is a lack of confidence in the thing that got him where he is, and a fear of being hurt.
So since the two Ruiz fights he's no longer doing what he did best and going in there to land heavy and brawl. The first Ruiz fight has made him scared of getting tagged and the second Ruiz fight probably gave him a misplaced sense of his tactical/points fighting ability.
I've only watched the highlights on YouTube for this fight, but it looked like AJ was basically throwing one punch at a time, with no follow ups and getting easily countered as his movement was pretty sluggish. Based on that performance he definitely wouldn't win against Fury.

I thought the other guy was very good, just at massive disadvantage on height and Joshua kept him at distance with the jab. I definitely thought for the first 7 rounds if the other guy could land one on Joshua he would win. Then it decended into a hug fest

Annnnnny way I didn't know much about Zhilei Zhang and being a racist fuck I assumed he'd be 7 foot tall like Yao Ming but he's a proper powerhouse tank and he threw some murderous straights and hooks. JJ looked sluggish as hell and has terrible footwork and balance/positioning. The idea of him competing with the top three seems kind of mad. I think they all win comfortably.
