They touched before the fight as well so he should have been ready to go once the fight started. Or at least signal before to see if the other fighter wants to touch again.

Yep, there's no obligation to go for a touch after the fight starts. Plus it wasn't obvious that's what Holland was doing. Nor did Khamzat give any indication he was going for a glove touch.
All fine imo.

Just caught up. Little bit gutted for Izzy. Wanted him to get some redemption. I think he's the better fighter but Peirera is the more devastating puncher.
I'll be surprised if Jones ever fights again at this rate.

Don't really like Israel but I felt bad for him too honestly. Can't say I agree on him being the better fighter though when he's 0-3. Granted MMA is a different sport but Pereira constantly cut him off while investing in the leg kicks and body shots to slow Israel's movement. That left hook was bound to find its mark eventually like it did in their last encounter Great fight though, most of the card was solid. Weili running through Carla, Dustin/Chandler putting on a war (despite the cheating). Enjoyed it, could have done without the Frankie fight though  |

Poirier's mentality, chin and boxing skill is simply superb.
Chandler was hitting him very hard and a few got through halfway through the first round. Poirier bides his time, soaks up the pressure, keeps rolling the shoulder and then throws a few choice counter-punches and turns the round on its' head.
Hope he wins the belt eventually; would be a damn shame if he never did.

Glad Izzy lost, he's a great fighter but I don't like him at all. Also shakes up the division a bit as nobody else was beating him. With Pereira a lot of the others will cause him problems.
Poirier vs Chandler was great fun. He's involved in so many great fights.

So, Paddy the Baddy. Initially I thought he was a massive dickhead. Then he started to grow on me a bit. Now he's back to being a total dickhead. I don't think he'll lose tonight, but it's going to be incredibly satisfying when anyone from the top 10 brutally knocks him out.
