Last years Clash was close enough for me in terms of marks. Never reached the cringy "We are awesome" chants we used to get. "This is wrestling!" is the chant that makes me curl up with cringe. Worst thing about going to a wrestling show is being surrounded by incel wrestling fans. I always laugh when they chant it when the wrestlers do the tie up, headlock, off the ropes, shoulder barge, nip up then couple flips then end with a stare down that we see pretty much every damn week. |

There's enough on wrestling fans to fill an episode of Dark Side of the Ring. Easily.
I really cringe looking back at the Lita / Matt Hardy split, and how not only the fans constantly slut shamed her, but the actual company did too right up to her departure. In fact, Wrestling fans from the Attitude era on just slut shamed every single female talent for a long time.
And then their behaviour ensured wrestlers like Dolph Ziggler, who was supposedly one of the wrestlers they most wanted to see pushed, would stay in the midcard as they went and ruined the Iron Man match that was supposed to elevate him. (Much to the chagrin of the "Give Me Ziggler or Give Me Death" front row superfan, who I can only assume is dead now.)
I remember Mick Foley writing in his book about how he came out the night after his Hell in the Cell Undertaker match and tried to open his heart up in a promo only for the audience to do a boring chant because they would do that to anything that wasn't Stone Cold Steve Austin or Sable. That era gave us plenty of iconic moments, but the people who ate it up were the absolute shits.

I think “fight forever” has its place but only in truly exceptional matches that really capture the audience, not just because Cesaro did a collar and elbow tie up with the latest NXT alumni. Maybe something like Sami v Nakamura at Takeover or the way Ibushi and Cedric wrung everyone’s emotions dry at the CWC. I need emotion and story telling now just a bunch of random high spots and some blading |

Even singing Seths theme is being over done now to the point its going a bit cringe.

If Gunther takes the pin or gets made to look weak then that's definitely Vince.

Just re-watched Danielson v Omega from Grand Slam 2021, what a match, perfectly paced and with an insanely intense atmosphere.
Hopefully AEW can continue to hit out the park every Wednesday and we get that 2021 feeling back.

Just re-watched Danielson v Omega from Grand Slam 2021, what a match, perfectly paced and with an insanely intense atmosphere. Hopefully AEW can continue to hit out the park every Wednesday and we get that 2021 feeling back. I've watched that match as least five times. It's perfect and having that huge, hot NYC crowd as well just adds a cherry on the top. That pop when they lock up for the first time... |

Looks like the brand split is coming back. I’m generally not that into the split roster thing but its probably the only way to get the belts off Roman and potentially give more screen time to the lower card.

Technically it never ended they just got a little loose with it in recent months.
HHH said everybody is eligible for the draft so not sure if that includes NXT.
I'm sure they had Adam Pearce the other month say the Usos would have to start defending the tag titles separately and then just ignored it? Think they even had some tag matches to decide the Raw/Smackdown No.1 contenders.
They can do it with Roman and get the Raw belt off him.
Cole with a HHH runs everything comment last night as well as he was doing his entrance.
Dom probably has more heat now than anyone else in the business. Funny how this time last year fans would be saying he needs to be dropped to NXT and now the guys had a high profile WM match and one of the companies biggest heels.

Can't be Brock storyline wise as he can't have another title match against Roman(hence him coming out to be Cody's partner made sense after Heymans stipulation)
But yeah they could have certainly teased it by doing some triple threats. I expected them to do that to get the IC belt off Gunther at WM but now think they want him to hold the IC record.

Lots of changes again this week on Raw though this was due to weather issues meaning a lot of talent couldn't get to the show

It makes sense to add Riddle for now seeing as Solo 'took him out' but was hoping he would have a bit of a character change and be a bit more serious.

Hard to say. A lot of talent unable to get to the show last night(Sami and Riddle arrived about 20 minutes before the end)
So they had to change a lot of stuff.
But people have been saying fans will turn for 4 months now and if anything the guys more over.
The fans will likely turn just like they do with everyone else, once he wins the belt and they decide they think someone else should have it.

The guy is cosplaying Homelander, its got to happen eventually.
The Bloodline stuff is on its way out but the story I think I’m most done with is Rey and Dominik. I know they won’t but give Dom the win at the next ppv and write Rey off tv for a few months, please.

Longed for Cody to go full Homelander in AEW but it never happened - I don't think he ever wants to be a heel.
Hopefully WWE are a bit more clued in to his character and make those changes down the line rather than Tony Khan just letting his big stars do whatever they want.
