Cody, Seth, Bobby and Brock (sometimes) as the main guys on Raw and Punk, Bray, Gunther, Braun? And so on on SD?

I would be very surprised if Bron isn't moved up this year.
They also need to do Gunther vs Dragunov on the main roster.

No doubt WWE and their fans would welcome him with open arms after shitting on Punk ever since he joined AEW.

I'd love to see Punk back in a ring, don't really care which one, but who's realistically going to stand up to him on the mic in WWE?

He's already danced with Heyman and Miz (the best two talkers they currently have) - maybe Edge and Wyatt.

True - I'd argue he's always been average in the ring though.

Knows how to tell a decent story but his execution is sloppy as hell, even in his ROH days. Only gotten worse over time too (just look at his last AEW match).

Bray's great at a monologue but struggles to sell a match imo - similar guys like Foley would always bring it back to the match.

Balor and Styles - you must be joking if you think they're even close to Punk on the mic. Who else - Dominick Mysterio? Ricker's had a ton of chances too and done nothing with them; he's never made it to the big time for a reason under numerous promoters and promotions.

Cody's a good shout. Forgot about Zayn and KO too.

Edit - I know Punk's disliked around these parts but let's not pretend he's not a step above most people on the mic because he is - he's shown it for well over a decade now even without the pipebomb. Look at his stuff with Raven, Jeff Hardy, Cena, Vince, Rock, MJF etc. He's a top tier mic worker.

I was more taking issue that you said "can carry him on the mic and in the ring". Don't disagree with the latter.

Name me a top talker who didn't repeat themselves - Piper, Foley, Flair, Rock and all the rest always fell back on the same routines.

Ah that's fair - guess I just disagree with the term 'carried'. Saying someone could carry Punk on the mic is like saying someone could carry Bret Hart or AJ Styles in the ring - I only see someone who needs carrying as someone who isn't very good (or the person they're going against is so far ahead).

Is there bad blood with KO and Punk I don't know about? That'd make an even better feud! Or is it Punks' bitterness that KO got to wrestle Austin at Mania? Wouldn't be surprised tbh.

Again, Punk had a ton of variety in his promos. His promos against Raven, Joe, Hardy, Cena, Rock, Taker etc. all had different angles and content. His pibebomb/fourth wall stuff is his most famous piece (for good reason) but I think it's disingenuous to imply he's a one trick pony when his full body of work says otherwise.

Edit - As good as Foley was too his promos were always very similar - long, tortured soul kinda promos where he goes quiet/loud/quiet. All the way back from Cane Dewey right through to Mankind's boiler room promos. I don't think I've ever seen him deliver a short two minute promo that sold a match (though I could be mistaken).

Punk and KO haven't got on since the indie days.

All over Punk hating KO wearing T shirts during matches.
He then tried acting like the locker room leader and started giving KO shit in front of everyone about it.
Then add to KO being very good friends with the Bucks and KO conveniently posting a picture of himself and Austin wrestling in a Main event at WM while both wearing shirts the day after the scrum was seen as a jab at him.


Its all pretty childish but several accounts say KOs apparently said he wants nothing to do with Punk.
He did try to make peace once and not wear one but hated it.

But I suppose it comes down to its it good business? Though a feud of them cutting promos of stop wearing a shirt and I was in a WM main event isn't exactly exciting.

Christ - I know I'm a Punk fan but he's an even bigger twat outside of the ring than I thought

He gets injured every couple of months sadly, usually when he's just about to challenge for the big one.

Such a great wrestler with an amazing presence - his stuff with Lesnar in WWE was fantastic, albeit cut short by injury (again).
