I've also not that in just 2 weeks the crowds are apart of the show again and really getting into it. Hit Row coming back is also pretty nice. But they do need to cool down on the returns a little. Spread them out nicely. WWE has gone all AEW?

Saw Kross came back on Smackdown - really don't see what people see in the guy outside of his entrance and valet (and even those are wasted on him imo). Generic as fuck. Thank you! I thought he had nothing going on during his Impact days and when he moved to WWE they smoothed the edges off even further and people seem to think I’m crazy when I say I can’t buy him as a monster or threat at all. Like his beatdown of Drew the other day, Drew is literally head and shoulders above him and totally jacked. And now he’s grown himself a drinks in Wetherspoons haircut he looks even less threatening.

Cena in a feud with Theory? I have no idea why he'd come back though especially with his film/TV schedule.
I can't stand Kross. He's the most generic wrestler since Slap Nuts and I have no idea why they brought him back. Same with random guy on Raw this week.

Cena/Theory was teased but weird is Cena refused to return while the Vince stuff was going on.
A few rumours of him vs Gunther for the IC title(only belt he hasn't won).

Just caught up with Dynamite and it was a banger, Jericho has still got it. AEW really comes together in the few weeks before a PVP.

Cena coming back for a Mania run would be fun. When he’s given free reign to do it he could talk and wrestle most of the roster under the table. That US title open challenge series had some fantastic matches in it.
Not surprised he wanted to put some distance between himself and Vince’s multi-million dollar hush money payouts though.

The US title stuff may be my favourite Cena work. Feels like they are starting to do something similar with Lashley on Raw. Could also possibly see him vs Gunther at Survivor Series if they keep hold of the belts till then. Hopefully HHH makes that PPV mean something again.

You can really tell the wrestling fans and WWE fans apart in this thread.

I caught AEW last night for the first time in a while. You can tell things have changed as I was a bit icked out by the amount of blood on blood contact in the Mox v Jericho match. Never bothered me back in the day.
You couldn't pay me enough to roll around in Jericho's fluids. He's been from port to port.

AEWs over reliance on blood is getting pretty sad now.

I guess seeing a massive hardcore vocalist bleed is cool but what about this

The storyline has run its course. Just bring back Elias and move on. Guy is much better as a heel.

The problem with NXTUK recording multiple episodes in one day rather than being live... The New UK champ just appeared on NXT weeks before he wins it on TV.

See given help with promos[no I'm a black bitch cringe] she would be good as a manager.
Match wise though? Unless she's getting a lot of training at the performance centre it's an in ring return we don't need.
Fightful reporting that HHH contacted a former WWE/NXT wrestler to ask if they would consider coming back at some point. No name and HHH was unable to speak to them directly but fightful was.... which makes it sound like BS to me. They quickly ran and told Tony what had happened then decided to tell a wrestling website.

Brandi's an average manager at best - in all honesty if she wasn't married to Cody I don't think she'd get a look in.
On the 'tapping up' issue - If true then it's illegal so I don't blame the AEW talent to be honest. Vince has been doing this shit for years, looks like it'll continue without him.

Oh, and Okada vs Ospreay in the G1 Finals.
Should be an absolute banger if it's anything like their WK16 match - Ospreay just needs to slow down a touch..

And Tony has been doing it over the last year sorting out deals while wrestlers are still under non compete. But would asking someone if they would consider coming back when a free agent count as tampering?

Happy to be corrected if there's any links or stories about TK speaking to wrestlers whilst still under contract - I may have missed these.
Khan has been quite vocal about not tapping up contracted wrestlers though. He's even gone on record a few times at the post media scrums about not being allowed to even reach out to released WWE talents until they were properly out of contract after their 90 days were up. In fact, legally he's not allowed to do it because of how WWE contracts are structured. The "90 day no compete" is actually 90 days advance notice of termination the way its written in the contract (publicly available at the SEC).
Can't see WWE letting this slide if Khan did try it - they'd send their army of lawyers at him (as they should).

I don't think there's an issue with "tapping" wrestlers who are not under contract but still in their "no compete" clause...it just means they can't appear for another fed. They can start negotiating their next job and start date. Otherwise we wouldn't see guys appearing the day after their no compete finishes.
Tony contacting ex WWE wrestlers in that instance is quite different to the alleged recent case. I reckon it was Swerve Strickland's and they (WWE) wanted to bring him back with the rest of Hit Row, the timeline fits.
And to be fair to WWE, there are guys on AEW TV who work per-appearance deals so they may have been reaching out to *whoever* on that basis.
Or it's all a load of bollocks as usual.
It's just ridiculously great to once again have two major promotions who both have great rosters, great TV deals and can regularly sell out arenas. Better still, and crucially for me and my 33 year relationship with WWE, it's finally a no-Vince world. Can't overstate how fascinated I am about the year ahead.
Really want WWE to off Kevin Dunn and change up their production though. It's been static for like 15 years and feels so formulaic - because it is. Dunn is just a machine banging out cookie cutter shows. Time for some new blood. His editing is for people with ADHD, preposterous numbers of cuts. Blink. Blink. Blink. Way too much sugar. I want new production by the time Mania rolls around and we get an MJF Vs Cody main event. I joke but I bet in the next 3 years that's not anunrealistic thing.
In the glory days of NXT and those amazing Takeover PPVs I used to fantasy book a future where HHH was allowed to do *that* approach but with the main road wrestlers, budgets and crowds. And now it's actually happening just as I wet dreamed! Hnnghhhh.
And it was inconceivable that it would have happened at all let alone with a brilliant rival promotion who have a huge TV deal, "beat NXT" and banging out great weekly shows and PPVs.
What a time to be a Mark.

Happy to be corrected if there's any links or stories about TK speaking to wrestlers whilst still under contract See every wrestler that's turned up at AEW the day after or in some cases the very day the non compete finished. Tony might claim at media scrums he who's but the guy talks so much shit. Still waiting to see what TV deal AEW has been offered. Word is they got told $45m take it or leave it.

Like who? As I stated earlier, WWE contracts stipulate the non-compete clause is still part of the contract so the day the contract ends is also the same day the non-compete clause ends.
Adam Cole - Expired August 11th, shows up in September Daniel Bryan - Expired in May, debuts in September. Moxley - Expired in April, shows up May 25th Malakai Black - Expired 2nd June, debuts July 7th Andrade - Expired 21st March, shows up in May FTR - Expired April 10th, debut on May 27th Keith Lee - Expired Nov 4th, debuts Feb 9th Ruby Soho - Expired in June, debuts in September Toni Storm - Expired in December, debuts in March Buddy Matthews - Expired in June, debuts in February
Happy to be corrected if I've missed any but all of these are pretty much a month minimum between their contract ending and showing up in AEW.
Genuinely don't get this animosity that some WWE fans have to AEW. It's more wrestling - surely that's a good thing? Makes everyone up their game.
