I'm only just starting to get back into this stuff after a long while out of it, so this is probably partly my ignorance.
AEW does seem to have a lot of talent, but they also seem to have almost too many talented but similar looking guys. A lot of the moves are great comparing to what you used to get in old WWE matches, but I can't say that many people have stood out as especially memorable. Say what you want about the cheesy old WWE gimmicks and huge fuckers, but they did at least stand out. I think the most memorable has been Sting and the dude with the half-sting mask and the skateboard. It seems a bit bitty as well, with too many wrestlers to feature so the guys who are in action one week are then not on screen the next week.
WWE always erred too much on the side of prioritizing people with huge muscles or mic skills over ring skills, but I'm starting to see at least some wisdom in that.
Please ignore my uniformed waffle. It's probably all wrong.

It's a fair assessment, IMO. I have similar complaints with AEW. As much as it's touted as the savior of wrestling, it's very WCW pre-nWo, where the wrestlers getting the biggest focus are ex-NJPW or WWE guys, and none of the home grown talent have really stood out. It's nice that the boys and girls have a new place to get a big check I guess.

What do you mean by home grown? I mean WWE pinched practically everyone from terrorities or WCW, ECW, ROH, Impact… MJF for example was in MLW and has stood out a lot.
Yeah I agree the roster is stacked but how many of these work in independents or NJPW, ROH etc etc. There’s a handful that are exclusive to AEW. I think you’re being very harsh to even dare mention WCW lol

Hair shouldn't be able to do that...
A good 10-15 minutes had passed from Finns entrance to the start of his match. Way too many ad breaks and a pointless Smackdown recap then a random placed Vince/Theory backstage segment. Any title match on a weekly show should be ad free.

So Tony Khan’s big announcement was that AEW have bought ROH
If they launch any kind of streaming service they’ve got a hell of a back catalogue now

The best news possible! So many insanely great matches. Didn't Honor Club have a lot of back catalogue matches? Anyway this surely seals NJPW and Bullet Club on AEW/ROH now.

It also means they now have the rights to the original All In PPV which is essential from an AEW archives perspective.

I mean, that's fair! And ROH did need saving, so it is good news.

I haven't been super into AEW the past month or so but that Bryan Danielson v Christopher Daniels match sparked joy. Fun match with two great wrestlers and an indie sized crowd having a good time.

Anyone watching Revolution tonight? Stacked card and almost all the matches have a decent/semi decent build going into them.

So guessing that certain someone had been brought in to manage RoH?

Apparently not.
But then they never actually ran a show before.

Shit about AJ, and I think Lashley is out too. Other than the headline matches, Mania is turning into a seriously underbaked show in terms of the rest of the card, seems lacking in heat.
Revolution last night by contrast had a decent amount of matches that had good build/heat. Hot crowd obviously helps but pretty much everyone on the show was over. Really gives me attitude era vibes in that respect. Plus how over the new(ish) guys are in Hook, Orange, Jungle Boy, Wardlow, Darby.
The fact that the whole excellent MJF/Punk angle is just midcard is pretty telling. The RedDragon/Bucks stuff within the wider Undisputed/BC/Elite plot, Bryan and Mox, The Inner Circle implosion...all just midcard.
After 10 years of being conditioned to most feuds being one month 50/50 booking fillers that don't mean anything, it's making for a string of really fucking great PPVs separate to the also great main event angle with Hangman/Omega/Cole. And the tag division is stacked too.
I'm a total mark...but as an off-and-on fan since 1989 (Mania 5, by accident on Sky) it's so brilliant having a wrestling promotion around that *feels* like AEW.
NXT came close but AEW maintains all the elements I loved about that (solid pro wrestling angles and 'indie' trappings) and then wraps it up in the pyro, craziness, budget and spectacle of WWE.
Can't help watching the shows and thinking that if someone told me 3 years ago I'd be watching an established new fed being this great with this roster, it would have genuinely sounded beyond the realms of possibility.

Been planned to have him at the event since last year but I doubt the plan was ever to have a match.
Think this should hopefully tell them it was dumb to think they would sell out a 100,000+ stadium 2 nights in a row. A much smaller stadium sure but also not helped by not really having a big match cause let's face it Brock/Reigns has been done enough in recent years.
Also how the fuck is Seth without a match yet?

Yeah overall it was a great PPV. The card was stacked and they produced some great matches. The ladder match was probably one of the best I'd seen in a while and I can't wait to see where they go with Wardlow next (hopefully TNT champ), but I suspect it'll be an MJF/Wardlow feud. Was a little disappointed that Hangman and Jurassic Express retained.. as I kind of wanted Elite/Undisputed holding all the belts. Not sure where Cole goes from here.

Great PPV in Revolution, so many fantastic moments.
- Ladder match had some great bits. OC flipping up the ladder, Wardlow tapping Keith Lee on the foot to come down and fight, the camera angle when Keith Lee appeared behind Christian, OC in general. Just a ton of fun.
- CM Punk's ROH entrance music/mannerisms were a fantastic touch (as was MJF fake-out entrance). Some real nostalgia there, shame it wasn't on a crowd who knew it better.
- Wardlow. Whoever's booking this guy needs a raise. From his work in the ladder match to his turn at the end of the MJF/Punk match, everything was executed brilliantly.
- Regal at the end of Moxley/Bryan. What a moment, probably the biggest pop and chants Regal's ever received. Loved how he never played to the crowd once and was completely in the story. Those slaps were huge! So hyped to see where this goes.
- Cargill looked like she belonged in Mortal Kombat. Killer entrance with the live guitar.
So yeah - AEW produce another excellent PPV. They don't do everything right all the time but it feels like they do when it matters.

How did I forget to mention Regal! He was immense in NXT. WARRRR GAMESSSSSSSS. I hope he's an on screen character as I do like a commissioner type role.

Regal is great and probably the main release that confused me. Guy had a ton of knowledge and should have been kept as a coach or manager for someone like Omos.
Noticed Priest has stopped doing Reckoning (Crossroads) and gone back to doing his version of Razors Edge.
And Randy finally topped the the RKO on Bourne last night.
