Attack on Titan didn’t get the best ending, but honourable mention anyway.

Reservation Dogs by some stretch.
The most funny, touching, dramatic, well acted and downright joyous thing I've seen in years. Can't remember the last time I watched a show with such a likable cast. Incredible show that everyone needs to watch.
Succession comes in at a distant second. Could've been closer but the ending was downright depressing/unsatisfying. I know a lot of people will say "that's the point" but it just felt rushed, messy and contradictory.

I generally agree with others' top picks (Succession, Last of Us, The Bear, etc.). But a few honourable mentions for shows that I also enjoyed that haven't been mentioned much:
Poker Face, Blue Lights, Fleishman Is in Trouble, Colin from Accounts, Somebody Somewhere (I'm surprised this doesn't get more love on here as it's great), Ghosts, Only Murders..., Deadloch, Silo, The Curse and the latest season of For All Mankind.

It has to be Succession because I think it's my favourite TV series of all time. Unlike some above I thought the big plot moment (avoiding spoilers) and the ending were close to perfect.
Runner up is The Bear S2 was very good too. Enjoyed it just as much as the first. Third place would be Slow Horses S2 (straddled 2022/2023 and not started S3 yet)
Nothing else has really hit those kind of highs, though TLOU, Jury Duty and Colin From Accounts were the best of the new shows.
Biggest suprise was the Lazarus Project S2. Far better than expected and a bit of a hidden gem.

The Last of Us will probably win it for me.
After that any (forgetting several I'd wager) of Blue Lights, The Gold, Drops of God, Silo, Mrs Maisel, Colin from Accounts, Lessons in Chemistry, World on Fire, Beef, Poker Face, The After Party, One Piece, A Small Light...
Got a lot we haven't finished, or started yet. Probably a good thing to cover a lesser quantity of American output next year following the strikes.

Pluto is probably my favourite 'new' show this year Funny, I hadn't thought of it as a show per se but of course it is, Pluto definitely worth recommending.

Forgot about Colin from Accounts. That was indeed great.

Forgot Mrs Maisel finished this year. That was nicely done.
But it's Bluey S3.

Part 2 came out this summer. The final 10 episodes come out on 12th January. Irritating release schedule, but I guess it doesn't bother my son. There's also this to look forward to:

Lazarus Project is a great series. The problem with decent Sky shows is they don’t tend to find an audience and don’t last long as a result.

Succession and The Bear. TLOU was OK, as was From S2.

I'd say:
Succession - top by a country mile The Sixth Commandment Last of Us
And then after that, I can't really remember much other standout stuff.
But it's dawned on me I watched the following, which were frankly shite, or mediocre at best:
Silo - great ending but it was largely far too drawn out and the acting was especially bad Beef - hot garbage I wish I'd binned off Servant - which I did bin off

You must be referring to a different show called Beef.

Where's the Beef? It's not a show of the year contender for me, but still pretty enjoyable.
