In The Messenger when you’ve gone through the whole quest and then the game expects you to go backtracking through warpdoors to grindout a few extra hours when it had already reached a perfectly natural conclusion to its gameplay loop.

I did intend to go back to it, but it looks like the final boss of Streets of Rage 4 has made me quit. Specifically the third phase.

Go for the mech's legs. I think it's only the big stompy attack you really have to watch out for with that. It's easier than going for the other one (then they'll hop in it) in my experience

It's not so much the fight itself, more the three phases. I know I could beat it, just... ugh.

I died there the other night on an Arcade run. It is tricky. Who do you use? I tend to play as Cherry, who has the lowest damage output, but the longest windows of invincibility when doing special moves, so I try to abuse that when I can’t dodge an attack and claim back the health sacrificed immediately after.
Also, it’s definitely worth getting rid of the guy first. The girl is annoying, but she’s much easier to manage alongside the mech than he is.

Just cause 4
The whole mayhem and story which didn't grab me were unappealing
And it looks awful

You know the EXACT moment that basically made me quit every game? Having a baby.

Yeah. There are way too many games with childbirth in them.

I’m close to quitting Cocoon… I’m definitely too stoopid! About half way through and woefully struggling! Internet has already needed to rescue me a couple of times and then when I do progress feels as much luck as understanding.
/kind of wishes it was more about old people’s afterlife

I think some old Dragon Quest games had childbirth in them. I don't remember the exact title, or the console though.

Outlast 2 has a child birthing scene Fallout 3 intro FEAR DMC Devil May Cry sort of Duke Nukem 3D Episode 4 - The Birth intro I think Theme Hospital had child birth cut from it but there's a fan patch that adds it back in

Didn't one of the CoDs have a childbirth QTE?
Press X to guide head. Press Y to catch.

Damn. I was about to apologise for a terrible joke, but I guess I ended up learning something. I’m still sorry everyone.

This is actually my first (last) playthrough, so been using Axel. Fully intended to play it to death with all of the characters. Definitely get rid of the guy first. I would do a lot better if I could find a way to avoid the woman's zig-zag speedy attack. I also tend to get spanked by all the fat guys before you reach the boss fight. But again it's not about struggling with the boss, it's the multi-phase bullshit.

I normally stick a game out to the end no matter what.
However for me the most recent is stray.
Because it reminded me of my dead ginger cat obi. Loved that guy.

You know the EXACT moment that basically made me quit every game? Having a baby. On the positive side, in about 7-8 years you'll have a co-op partner to play games with.
On the minus side, they probably won't want to play the games you want to play, and you'll have to keep buying them new hardware and software to keep up with their friends.

Im hoping there will be a happy period of middle ground where I can finally crack out the co-op games I never got to play in between bonding over Lego sets and Pokemon. But this is the predecessor for him taking over the gaming area with his teenage mates and telling me to fuck off if I show any interest.
