Fingers crossed someone here knows the answer and can help. I have a standard BT Home Hub 2 and FTTP. I am paying big dollars for a 1gbps down connection, but when I play my weekly session of GTA with the lads on my Series X and my son plays Fortnite on his Series S at the same time, the network performance on my game turns to shit.
Is there a way in the Hub Manager for my Home Hub to limit the amount of bandwidth my son takes up, so that my Xbox Series X takes as much as it needs for me to have a decent gaming session? Or do I just ban him from playing online when I am wanting to have a session?

With that resolved, I don't think the Home Hub has any Quality of Service configuration options.

I know with that speed you're probably running a wired connection, however can you not setup two wireless SSIDs on the router and see if that automagically splits/resolves it anyway?
Just throwing ideas out there.

Just throwing ideas out there. Anything is worth a shot. You are right, though. I spent a glorious Saturday, about 16 months ago, laying CAT6 cables around my entire property, to ensure my PS5, Xbox Series S &X, Sky Box and TV are hardwired. But I guess that having him play on WiFi for a little on a separate SSID is not going to be too awful.
