Anyone got any thoughts on what you have heard about this / seen about it so far? EDGE ran a front cover on it a few months back, and new trailer just out - www.youtube.com/watch?v=90FNVadJP6swww.everywhere.game/I am looking for open and honest feedback on it if you have seen or heard of it so far, or if not, based on looking at what there is / the trailer etc. Basically I have a good friend who works at BORB and they are after feedback from gamers - and so I guess this is as good a place as any. NO TIME WASTERS etc Just any feedback or thoughts really on what limited info has been released so far.

It looks like another Dreams, Roblox etc. where the best experiences come from content creators and not the developers. Art style is very close to Fortnite too.

A lot of these games that ask you to create your own games within them don't really seem to take off.
Dreams was a wonderful creation suite and there was some really impressive stuff made within it, but even that failed to gain any real traction. I think maybe it's just hard to have meaningful experiences within them, especially when you consider how large dev teams are for games now and how long games take to make.
The aesthetic being close to Fortnite doesn't seem like it will help, because it sort of puts you in more direct competition with it, but Fortnite is such a behemoth that I struggle to see anything toppling it. Fortnite already has the art style, the shooter mechanics and its newly launched Creative mode allows for a lot of your own world building and modes too so this would need some way of really differentiating itself. It talks about a new world but the gameplay I saw was mostly stuff that's all in Fortnite already, and nothing like extensive melee combat for instance.
There could be a lot more to it though, I just don't think that trailer was particularly inspiring. It was my first time seeing it but you could probably have convinced me I'd seen it before in any number of a game shows in the past year or two.
I don't know if this sounds too harsh but if it does bare in mind i have a bad case of the manflu and have been quite miserable anyway
