Anyone got any good recommendations? Not bothered about 4k picture and ideally would prefer one I don't have to keep connected to the charger at all times.

I’m going to preface this by saying I don’t own one, but I’ve researched it until I switched jobs which meant I wouldn’t be driving a lot anymore. Anyway, most dashcams don’t have batteries these days because they tend to heat up, so most have switched to supercaps which only hold like 20 minutes of charge. Besides that, the conclusion has always been that viofo offers the best quality/price ratio.
