Greetings fellow Font geekers.
I hope it's OK to ask a PS4 question here as there's no PS4 subforum?
I've got a weird controller issue. My Stepson has a PS4 that was working fine. He recently connected his PS4 controller to a smartphone via bluetooth to play Rocket League mobile.
Since then, when we fire up the PS4, it says to "press the PS button to use the controller" but this doesn't work.
We've removed the controller from the phone (option 'forget' in bluetooth settings). We've used the reset button on the back of the controller and then hooked the controller up to the PS4 via a USB cable. No joy.
Is there any other way to get the PS4 to recognize the controller? I've been searching online but the only advice I keep finding is what we've been doing, resetting and hooking it up via USB.
I was thinking of asking him to test with one of his friends who has a Playstation 4, to see whether his controllers can connect to a different PS4 or whether a different PS4's controllers can connect to his Playstaton. Otherwise I'm stumped.
Unless someone here has a solid tip on how to get the damn thing to work?

I had a controller that wouldn't work with a PS4 after being connected to a PC. Nothing I could do would get it to work again. Tried everything on the internet.
In the end, I had to use another controller to go into the system settings > bluetooth devices and delete the non-working one from the system. Probably also worth removing it from the phone.
Some bluetooth devices (especially Sony ones) are odd about being paired with more than one thing at once. I don't think you can easily swap DS4s between two devices, I'm afraid.

I'll give that a try.
