Blimey, didn't realise anywhere still did weekly collections. You can argue for a bigger bin or two bins here if you need them. Nappies tend to be the thing that fills them up.

Yea we get the recycling collected every week (tubs) but the wheelie bins have been bi-weekly for years.

Ours alternates by type every week. Black bags of general waste one week, blue bags of plastic and cardboard the next, and repeat.

Ours is red bags on every second Tuesday, pink bags on Wednesday if it's raining. Yellow bags from 4pm and Green bags during a full moon.

Yeah, the dead things that the cats bring in are the biggest issue. Food waste is weekly, so usual black bins shouldn't smell too bad otherwise.

Let me see if I can remember the schedule. I usually get it wrong. Monday - Burnable Wednesday - Plastic, Cardboard Thursday - Burnable, Glass, Plastic Bottles, Tins Friday (bi-weekly) - Special unburnable stuff (like irons, keyboards, coat hangers, etc..) It gets hot in summer, so even 2 burnable collections a week is stinky.

Haha yes sometimes our bin must have a dozen corpses in there, prevented one of the cats about to go for a (fledgling?) crow this morning, I've never seen a young crow pretty fluffy and could only barely fly in little bursts as I shuffled it down the pavement away from our house.

I'd make an Under a Killing Moon reference but gremmi is the only one who'd get it and he's not here

Moving away from bins* and back to the thread, the indoor rainforest I went to today was too small and too hot. * Grey - general Red - Recycling (card and plastic) Black - food waste Green - garden waste (additional cost) Glass - take it to a bottle bin at Waitrose

Our area started charging an additional fee for garden waste collection a year ago. We were always a bit hesitant to pay it as they are so regularly unreliable for turning up, so put if off for about half a year.
We decided to go for it this summer as we needed to do a fair bit of gardening, and, as predicted, first week of the collection they don't bother to show up. When we 'reported it', we got a lecturing message saying they hadn't collected it because we hadn't put it out by 7am on the day. This despite a) me having put it out the evening before, and b) no one else in my road had theirs collected either.
And that was it. No option on their system to reply, no option to call them, no complaints process. It's like they know they're awful, and their solution for that is to make it impossible to tell them so.

Chop em up and stick them in a freezer bag. Handy for smoothies if you have them.

I refuse to call them anything but "Sainsbury's" (with the apostrophe).
It vexes me mortally that "Morrisons" refuses to use the apostrophe in their own brandname, but I suppose they could mean that there is simply more than one member of the family involved.
I HIGHLY DOUBT IT, THOUGH.

I went into a Amazon Fresh store (or Amoz Fresh as I like to call it) and picked up duck wrap for lunch. Got back to office and opened the packaging on the wrap and the wrap is stuck to the packaging. Lunch is ruined.
