Expanding the Euros to 24 teams is starting to look like a good decision, the gulf in quality between the traditionally big teams and the lower ranked sides has narrowed considerably. I'm certainly keeping an open mind although conversely I suspect that the biggest effect will be that the big teams are actually more likely to get the QF. Watching Georgia yesterday though, difficult to argue against the expanded competition. They were great value. |
