Pretty shocking 2nd half but good that we somehow managed to hold on.
You do feel that this team could be a lot better without the likes of maguire and Phillips in the starting 11. Seems like there are better options in those positions but Southgate gonna Southgate.
That being said, good win in the toughest game in the group.

Nice reminder that international football is not very good. We were bad. Italy were worse. Good result I guess. Would have been amazing in the 90s!
Further evidence that scoring from set pieces and keeping it tight is enough to make you a top 10 international team. Sure it would be nice to be a fluid attacking side but what Southgate does is dull but effective.

He appeared genuinely winded rather than faking, but him slowly crawling on the field of play to prevent the resumption of the game was funny. How he escaped a booking for that and also the aggressive way he screamed in the ref's face forcing him to take a step back is baffling. I'll take it though, we need him not accumulating cards.
