JWP, Mainoo, Barkley and probably a load of others. I’m glad Phillips isn’t in there but Henderson shouldn’t be anywhere near it either.

Can't say I blame Benny Blanco tbh. The whole set up is weird.

I just find the idea that White lacks commitment to football in general ludicrous. The man's certainly an enigma but you only have to watch him play to know he's hugely invested.
As an England fan it's a real shame he's not interested in Southgate's England but hopefully the next manager will make him reconsider.
So long as White continues to hold his tongue and not take the bait the press will continue to leave out you'd think it remains a possibility.

Yeah, he's well-known for being incredibly hard-working, almost to a fault in that he often conceals injuries, and studies all the data. By all accounts he's hugely invested in the game, just doesn't watch it recreationally.

Obviously I’m biased, but I really don’t see the issue. Batty was much the same. I don’t give a fuck about my job when I’m off the clock. Why should they just because their job is “fun”? If it turns out you’re naturally highly gifted in a profession that pays absurd money but you’re not really interested in it then why wouldn’t you milk it?

All stems from a throwaway comment that he doesn't really like football or watch it. So what! Sounds like a sensible move to maintain sanity imo.

Apparently he was bollocked in front of the whole squad because he couldn't answer a question about the way man city played. He has always claimed to love the game and dedicates himself to it. But in his down time he has other interests.
Complete non issue and a very ignorant attitude from the coaching staff. Fair play to him for telling them to do one.

Benoit Assou-Ekotto was another who also felt the same way.

He’s literally playing in the top of the table defence and doing the job. Does it matter that he hasn’t memorised the collected works of Jonathan Wilson and Michael Calvin?

He had some weird lunch ritual if I remember rightly. A hot chocolate and crisps or something lol

Very hard to know if that's true but if it is, you can see why he might conclude there's no point in being there. He's not getting selected despite better club form than many who play and the coaching staff have made it clear via actions as much as words that they don't respect him.

Really like the new England away kit for the Euros, but fuck me £84.99 for the basic shirt is far too steep. I haven't bought a brand new kit for a long time to be fair, but that seems even more steep than usual right?

Oh yeah, £125 for the pitch version and a mere £85 for the stadium one... FFS.

Wales are more than capable of beating Poland especially at home.
Good luck to them - almost there.

Archaic bullying behaviour from the coaching staff by the sounds of things. Whatever happened to man management.

This story about Keir Starmer and Nigel Farage denouncing the new England kit is a weird one.

I think Starmer likely just responded to a question. Even what he says isn't that controversial really. The Guardian just ran with it to sell papers/clicks. It wasn't a statement put out or anything.

Much like F1, the drama off the pitch will probably be more entertaining than the football will be.

I haven't really followed the Ben White thing, but if he sees football as nothing more than a job, then isn't Arsenal his job? What are internationals then? An after work get together? Or Overtime?
He obviously isn't arsed or would have made it known to the manager, no?

Think he's mostly been misquoted.
"It's well reported that White is one of the hardest working in the team, Holding spoke about his ability to play through injury being remarkable. If you haven't seen his interview for his first England call up, go watch it, it's pure emotion and honesty. This guy makes no issues for us off the field and is essentially the modern day professional footballer teams hope they can have from their players."
