That seems like a fucking lot of money. I certainly wouldn't have expected anybody to pay that much. LOTR cost them $250m in comparison even though it's probably apples Vs oranges.

Especially as they bought Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal and Squeenix Montreal, and a catalogue of IPs including Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Thief, Legacy of Kain and more than 50 back-catalogue games, from Square Enix, for 300 mill.

I never tried it. It looked great from a technical/gameplay perspective, but I assumed it'd be missing things like the story, illustrations, voice acting, characters that I loved in Thief. |
