Not sure it's going to be the same actress.
Bit weird PWB being in the new Indy, and then writing the new Lara.
It's like going back to the days of Infernal Machine vs Tomb Raider

The film wasn't too bad and she's a good Lara so it could actually be surprisingly good. I wouldn’t be mad if they used Alicia Vikander again. The movie was pretty forgettable but it looked the part and she made a lot of sense as reboot Lara |

Article also mentions a Netflix animé that will star Hayley Atwell, who seems to be pretty much the go to for posh female Brit. Likely going to be an ok fit for the role.
Also mentions that Amazon are going to publish the next Crystal Dynamics game, which I didn't know was happening. No word on what it is going to be like, but with the Amazon connection I guess it is possible it will tie into the whatever this PWB series is going to be.

I know there's a new game coming too but I hope the reboot trilogy is just left behind. 3 prologue stories that don't really do a lot to establish Lara as the seasoned adventurer we know, doing things at the service of her dad. The manual that came with Tomb Raider 1 gave a more interesting description of Lara than 3 games did.

I want a Lara that shoots tigers to death because they're in the way of shiny things, not one that throws a wobbly at having to kill a bloke who threatened her.

I thought Shadow fixed a lot of he issues with the narrative of the reboot trilogy. Really liked the Lara we got in it

I'm not sure how well old Lara would wash these days anyway. If you have the increased realism of the visuals with the old character, she'll just seem like a complete wanker. There needs to be some depth

The middle Lara (Anniversary, etc..) already seemed like a complete psychopathic wanker.
They should just steal Infernal Machine's idea of making the animals run away when you shoot them, so as to not make you a mass animal murderer in the name of treasure.

Thief was always the franchise I thought would make a great movie, but in the current day and age I think it'd be better as a TV show.
Oh, and Mario of course. Bob Hoskins ftw.

There needs to be some depth I replayed the legends/anniversary/underworld trilogy a couple of months ago. Laura is a monster, not even in a Nathan Drake quipping about killing fun way, just in a stone cold sociopathic way. |

Don't know if true so file under rumour, but apparently Embracer Group sold the rights to Tomb Raider to Amazon for 600 million dollars waaaaay more than they paid for all of SE's Western studios. If any of this true it just shows how badly run Square Enix is.
