Andor by a country mile. Pushing the, up till then clear winner, Severance into second place
The best of the rest, in no real order as I’m sure I’ve forgotten some: Slow Horses The Expanse The English Barry Better Call Saul The Bear
Honourable mentions to Sandman, She-Hulk and Ms Marvel for some good episodes

Well it's pleasing that The Bear may actually beat Andor, as that's my vote.
1) The Bear 2) Severance 3) Andor

Quite a few I could mention but the three standouts for me:
Andor The Bear The White Lotus S2
Reading the thread reminds me I need to watch Severance

Oh god, how did I miss Better Call Saul and The Sandman! Yes, the final season of BCS was incredibly good. I found the time jump a little disappointing, but it stuck the landing so very well. The final episode is possibly one of the best last episodes I've seen.
And The Sandman was an excellent adaptation of an excellent comic. Very faithful where it needed to be, but making a few changes that worked well. Looked stunning constantly and was probably the most enjoyable thing I watched.
Edit - Midnight Mass was last year. This year's Mike Flanagan Netflix show was The Midnight Club, which wasn't great.

Better Call Saul The Bear Andor
Consumption of UK TV has really plummeted. I did want to watch The Responder and that spy thing on ITV

Tried to break down by service. Telling that ITV and C4 didn't get a look in this year. Seem to be off my radar for new stuff. Surprised by Amazon's showing.
Top 3 I'd probably go: Better Call Saul Andor Slow Horses The Bear
gah, that's four
Apple TV: Slow Horses Severance
Disney+ Andor The Bear
Netflix: Better Call Saul Stranger Things s4 Cobra Kai
BBC: The English The Responder
Amazon: The Peripheral The Old Man Reacher Outer Range
NOW/HBO: Succession (only on S1 but enjoying it a lot at the moment) We Own The City
Paramount+: 1883

This thread is a shambles! There isn't even a poll.

Andor Westworld Season 4 House of the Dragon Stranger Things Season 4
That’s probably the only event shows I’ve see this year. I’ll never count the general Disney+ slate as “best of the year” even though I enjoy it, in the same way I’ll never suggest a. marvel movie be nominated for an Oscar. If severance comes out on disc I’ll see it that way.

Ah yeah, Sandman was actually pretty good.
Because I often don't watch things until a few years after they were released, when I do watch something new I tend to forget if it was recent.

House of the Dragon for me. Looked forward to every episode the day it came out, and good for social media discussion and hype.

I thought Sandman was really good. My only issue with it is that the first story arc in it is one I don’t enjoy in the comics so didn’t really connect with it on screen.

Easy to spot the people who don’t have Apple TV with some of these lists.

Agree with lots of the ones already mentioned but Bad Sisters, White Lotus S2 and We own this city deserve more love.

Can see The Wire influence with it.

Slow Horses! Yes! I fucking loved that and somehow forgot about it.
Tbh I really struggle with remembering what happened this year and what happened in year before that, or even the year before that. My sense of time is fucked.

Did Derry Girls finish up this year? Or last?
Better Call Saul The Sandman Derry Girls, or Stranger Things

My sense of time is fucked. Season 2 is at least as good as the first, so far (episode 5 on Friday), and a third has already been comissioned.

Easy to spot the people who don’t have Apple TV with some of these lists. Well, if we're including AppleTV then clearly the winner is Fraggle Rock.

Andor for me, not even close. Incredible TV.
I really liked House of the Dragon and would entertain it being up there if it weren't for its awful obsession with being as gratuitous as possible with childbirth gone wrong. That's what's stuck with me, plus Paddy, more than anything else in the show. Still wondering how that got through presumably many, many layers of decision makers.
