Actually you have to go and make toast, and wait until it's cold to eat it, so it will definitely, definitely have finished loading by the time you go back. Always works, usually.

True story: my friend Steve’s Spectrum 48k had a better chance of loading certain games if we arranged a row of wine gums along the keyboard.
