There was a reference to Batman (Alfred) in The Eternals as well.
Looking at some of the nuts stuff rumoured in the multiverse films, it would not surprise me at all to see a DC crossover at some point. The comics have gone there.

Imagine how disappointed everyone would be if they did Amalgam and it was as bad as the comics were

Joker vs The Mask was insane. Though I think Batman vs Punisher was ok, from what I heard.

It's fun but not great. Feels very 90s, intentionally. But without the old school but fresh feel First Avenger's 50 homage felt. Better than Eternals at least, but anyone who says it's better than Black Widow is BUGGING I'd say there's hardly anything between them but I'd much rather watch Captain Marvel again. I just had a lot more fun. They're both high three/low four stars. Black Widow was definitely my least-favourite MCU film last year.

I enjoyed Captain Marvel more than Black Widow and Eternals

I enjoyed Captain Marvel more on a second viewing, but it is a slight movie. I find the character herself hard to like.
Eternals I’d rate as the worst Marvel movie and only boring one. Black Widow is extremely ordinary and pointless but I enjoyed a lot of the character stuff, and it sets up Yelena, who was a highlight in Hawkeye.

Captain Marvel was alright. At worst it’s completely average. It’s nowhere near as bad as the other two.

I'll give it a miss then, I'm a bit superhero'd out so it needs to be pretty good for me to bother. It was just that Disney+ was reallllllllly insistent that I watch it next, for several days so figured I would ask. Fanks

One thing about Captain Marvel: the stuff that happens in it will feed in to whatever they are doing next with Samuel L Jackson’s character, as hinted at in Spider-Man Far From Home.

If you're superhero'd out then I'd definitely leave it for a while, as it is a very generic marvel movie.
The time to have watched it would have been before Endgame. If you already watched that then there's no big rush to watch it.
I guess the end of Far From Home and also the coda to Wandavision might not make as much sense if you haven't seen Captain Marvel, but it's nothing essential.
Might be a good one to leave for a day when you're feeling sick and want something easy to consume from the safety of the sofa.

It already looks like there may be Captain Marvel references in Multiverse of Madness, so maybe check it out before May...?
Amusingly, Ghost Rider is trending on Twitter because for some reason Sony has re-uploaded the trailers to both Nic Cage films. This is probably just because it's the 15th anniversary of the first film, but when has that stopped people speculating wildly on the internet?

Nic Cage has been rumored to show up in Multiverse of Madness a few times now. Probably just fan wankery but it would be fun.

I think the main thing with Kingpin is that he has magical suits that are bullet/knife/bomb/car/meteor proof. but if remember the film correctly, his weakness is his shins.

All the Marvel Netflix shows have been confirmed they’ll be on Disney+ from March 16th.

It's called the Multiverse of Madness so it's expected, but following No Way Home there's a danger the fan-pleasing cameo approach might start to become a bit wearisome.

The default Holland costume is the worst. It looks like the 80s spiderman movies costumes. Except the resizing eyes, that's kinda cool.

I don’t think Holland has spent more than one scene in any one suit anyway.

It’s a weird picture, that. If someone told me it was CGI then I would totally believe them.
Edit: thinking about it, aren’t their costumes CGI in the films..? So maybe that’s why it looks odd.

I thought it was a photoshop but Marvel did a promo for the home release and this is on there. The three of them just hanging out and having a laugh together.

Ah, see, my favourite Spidey movie costume is the one Holland wears in Civil War. I love that it's clearly fabric, you can see the weave; it looks like something you could actually wear if you were swinging around like a nutter. And the eyes are so cool. I never liked the look of the Garfield costume until I actually saw Amazing, where it does make sense and looks a lot better. But both his and Maguire's costumes for me were a bit too slick and shiny, and I've never been a fan of the piping on the webbing. I always find it a bit of a shame, if they have a really nice cosume design, that you know it'll get changed up for the next movie nowadays because they obviously want new merch. Although when you think about it, that was happening with Batman 25 years ago, so I guess we're lucky the first two Spider-Men didn't have to do it.

The suit in Civil War is completely CG. It was made physical for Homecoming so that's the first time it's actually on film. Garfield had a different suit for each film too. It's only Maguire that didn't change. I prefer the MCU suits to all the versions before them, personally - colour, webbing pattern (especially on the mask), eye shape, spider design. All better on the Holland version.

We all agree that the movie versions are better than the default white-spider suit from the game though, right?

All better on the Holland version. I've absolutely no idea these days when an actor in a superhero is actually wearing a suit or not. I knew the Iron Spider one was CG because of all the BTS footage of Holland in a mo-cap outfit. But regardless, it looks like it's a fabric weave, which is what I meant, rather than whatever the previous suits were made from. I'm still boggled by the fact that all of the Avengers' time travel costumes are CG.
