Out in a couple of weeks, got a switch preorder in but might jump on the PS4 pro for the l33t visuals as it’s not a very long game as far as I recall

With the PSP origins I have considered the Switch version but the upgraded visuals may make the PS5 more appealing. I will wait for format comparisons I guess. I never got around to finishing my PSP version.

I hadn't realised we were so close to release. I'll grab it on PS5 but I might wait a bit for a price drop.

Was this game any good? Feels a bit like the remake nobody asked for... Let's have FF7 remake part 2 already!

I missed the psp game so quite looking forward to this. Seem to remember it had middling reviews but feels like it would suit the switch well. Hopefully it runs well.

Never played this game... much like the rest of the Compilation of FF7, it always felt to me like they wanted to explore some stuff that didn't really need to be explored. But then again, that was the newly formed Squenix and I guess they needed the money with some safe ventures, especially after Spirit Within.
My fondest memory of Zack will always be how he gets his ass kicked out of the room by Sephiroth in a split second. Anything more than that is not canon in my head.

It was pretty good at the time, the best the compilation stuff. Gameplay was solid, different to 7 and pretty fast paced. Had a lot of the Nomura emo indulgence tacked onto it though

Yeah I started off thinking this is brilliant but then it started sticking in new characters that added barely anything to the overarching plot. By the end I was just glad to get it over with.

I did enjoy the start, and being back in Midgar, but I think it started to contradict my memories of the original 7, and started playing a bit too much fan service, so got put off.
That said, the remake did that too, so not sure what my feelings are any more.
