As a newbie to this what does upgrading a card do other than change the appearance? It also increases your collection level allowing you to get rewards like new cards. |

Well I just played against the luckiest draw ever - we get Lamentis on turn 2 and my opponent has Bucky, Nova, Venom, Death and Zola. Needless to say I lost.

Was off sick yesterday so played a lot in bed. Destroy deck on the Altar of Death works wonders when you have the right cards and it comes out 1st or 2nd, but there's way's to kill it off. Scarlet Witch or Storm early seem to be the most common. Doom or White Tiger good for getting cards in there too.
Still, with a bit of sensible retreating, jumped up from 32 to 47 yesterday.

Speaking of Arnim Zola… I feel like the wording of the ability doesn’t make it clear that if you can’t destroy the targeted card, you won’t get the copies on the other lanes (yes I have just fallen victim to this for the first time)

I hate Leader, but one thing has recently twigged - the cards copied are in the order you play them. Just won a game where Leader came out on the last move, and I had played 19 points worth of cards, but as Death was played last, and he only had room for 2 of them, he only got the 7. Won by 2 points in that lane which sealed the win. Had I played Death first, they would have won.

I just had my Apocalypse leeched, and he didn't come back after he was discarded  It makes sense, I've just never had it happen before. Speaking of Zola, try him with Venom. |

I added Zola to my destroy deck hoping to get that combo going, but either the locations or card order always stopped it from coming off well, so I took him back out. Will have to try again sometime.

Yeah it can be pretty tricky to pull off. My greatest ever combo was Venom on 3, Moongirl on 4 (to copy Zola), Majik on 5, Zola onto Venom on 6, and Zola onto Zola on 7. Then go make a cup of tea.

Did manage Yondu - Venom - Absorbing Man for one card worth 108. I finally managed to pull off the double Zola on Venom and it wasn't as exciting as I remembered it. It was good, but it runs out pretty quick, I must be thinking of the Bar Sinister one. |

Hard to answer I imagine but what cards should I be looking out for on the token shop. I seem to just be passing on all of them in the worry something better comes up. I only have 3.5k tokens.

I would just progress normally for now, wait for something to pop that you really like the look of and then work towards cards that complement it. For me it was probably Hela, so I used tokens to buy discard friendly cards. For what it's worth, She Hulk and Quinjet work well with Dino, as does Collector (which you already have). |

Think I have figured it out, but it's been frying my brain a bit. You have 38 points in the lane before the multiplication. 2432/38 = 64. So that is the combined multiplier in play. My natural logic was… Iron Man is getting doubled by the location, so instead of getting the usual x2 on the lane, he is getting x4. I would expect Onslaught to double the IM x4 to x8, then again to x16. That isn't enough. The only way I can make it work, is that IM is a x4 by the lane, becoming a x8 by Onslaught when he first doubles the effect of IM. Then instead of acting again on the original x4, Onslaught is acting on the new x8. 8 * 8 = 64. |

I did have maths working out as...
IM x4. Onslaught then doing x4 x 4 = 16. Then x16 x 16 = 256. Maybe that is what what was "fixed"

(I won 2 lanes. Thought I’d been stuffed when my opponent played Hobgoblin on the last turn, but of course it went straight back to them the first time Zola did his thing) |

I don't really use She Hulk all that much, but she is definitely a great card in the right deck. Easy to double, can play early, Wave on turn 5 means you can play her and another 6 cost final turn. hedbenI would love to try Zola on Hobgoblin. Living the dream! |
