If there's a thread then delete this and bump it because I can't find one..surely there is already one!!!
I played this on PS3. I think I completed 1-1, 1-2, 2-1 and 3-1 when it first came out and then binned it at some point.
Did 1-1, 1-2 and 2-1 last night. I heard magic was ridiculously op in this so I went pure strength.
Enjoying it but it's obviously a step backwards from all the newer titles of theirs. Pretty incredible though for their first attempt at what became a whole type of game of its own.
Looks and sounds beautiful. If we could get a Bloodborne remake now please. also bluepoints audio is way way better than what from software do, the sound effects are incredible!! Can we get the audio and lighting team over to from please.
Any particularly good strength weapons I should be finding?? Thanks

Crushing weapons are good for str builds. Did you get the battle axe in 2-1? That's a good starter.
Later on, the dragon bone smasher is decent too. Unique, have to create it and you need pure white world tendency in world 2 to get to it, but its worth it. If you can handle the weight of it.

I prefer the PS3 version still  As quadfather says anything Crushing but it needs to be a pure strength build to benefit. Claymore is always a super versatile decent size weapon that can get you through to the end If you search mugenmonkey Demon’s Souls character planner you will find an awesome build planner that allows you to create a build and then plan your approach based on the gear you need |

I've got the claymore to +4 at the mo. I did see the option to go crushing version but damage was way less but then I did notice the strength scaling was higher.
Is every boss run as annoying as the tower knight and spider? Like why make it so long just to get to a boss. I've noticed with each game they make they generally make it less and less annoying.

There’s quite a few frustrating boss runs but you end up strong enough to rip through most of them. Just be sure to kick the bridge shortcut down for the Dirty Collosus one or you with hate yourself forever

It seems way more infuriating than their later games but obviously I'm just getting used to it. I forgot how annoying it is when the weapons bounce off the walls in corridors. Couple of bosses beaten this morning. Currently in the prison where it's lightning. It's got a great atmosphere.
