Is anyone else playing on PC?
I've mostly not had any issues, but I do regularly have massive frame drops and stuttering right after the game loads. This was mildly annoying playing the single player, with it running at about a frame every 2 seconds for a few seconds after loading, before clearing and running absolutely fine. It wasn't really a big deal in multiplayer though, as it was always clear when the game actually starts.
Playing Warzone, this seems to happen quite a bit during the parachute drop, particularly when accelerating. Makes that whole bit difficult to control. Anyone know what causes this? Performance outside that has been fine, with everything maxed and running at about 80 FPS (with DLSS).
In general, encounter much more lag in this mode, whereas hadn't encounter any before. Lots of enemies stuttering about the place. Only played a couple of games, so maybe just got unlucky.
Not played DMZ, but will have to give it a go. Didn't realise there was a solo mode for it.

Played a couple of games of DMZ last night and feel like I’d benefit with a buddy or two. I’m Timo180 on Xbox if anyone interested.

Stats are from the 6 dots next to the headphones, same tab as social.
Do t want to look at mine though as I have been levelling every gun to max and some are quite challenging to say the least.

Yeah it got added with s1. Iirc it's the tab next to settings but the UI is such a shambles I can't be sure. It's a proper confusing mess, trying to find anything is such a chore. When the update kicked in a showed off the season pass it was even more confusing. Really need to update a simplified cleaner version of the UI. Even starting a game can be more of a faff than it needs to be.

Yeah what is DMZ in a nutshell then? most importantly is it a suitable game mode for gamers of a certain age with rather limited skills to have a laugh playing online without getting shot every 18 seconds?

I'll try and explain a little more succinctly. DMZ is a muck about against bots game over a Warzone sized map. It has loot mechanics in it too.
It can be played solo or as a team of up to three and if you encounter human players you can fight.
If you die you can be revived, I think this is time limited. If you die solo there's nothing you can do.
Think of it as being a behind enemy lines raid mode, somewhere between Destiny and maybe the newer Ghost Recons or The Division. It's more of a playground.
Of note is that progression carries into the core multiplayer in terms of levelling and unlocking equipment etc.
EDIT: sorry I forgot. You have to extract too - which involves calling in a transport help, triggering waves of bots as you wait for it.

If you want the m13 I have it and can drop it for you. We just need to go into a game and extract and have me drop it for you. First time we got it my mate got killed by a team of 3 when we tried to get on the heli, the next few times the zone was full of enemy players, managed to kill them but the one with the gun ran away. Easies way to do it solo if you want to do it yourself is to run him over in a car and then gfto before anyone else shows up. I did it with the car trick. It was the extraction zone itself that gave me problems because of the armoured enemies. I'm not sure if they will be at every extraction zone or if I just picked a bad one - it was next to the observatory. I may consider your help thanks although I'm not sure what platform you are on and if that differs how you would mix. Same goes for the chap on Xbox above, I'll add you later.

I'm on pc and it's full crossplay.
We had varied enemies depending on the extraction, one didn't even have any but some players showed up. Mostly seems to be armoured ones though.

After discovering that Shoot House is just an absolute kill factory I've been doing lots of levelling there. Never imagined one of favourites would be that first bolt action marksman rifle.

The spr and the spx (think that's the one) are outrageous if you mod them fully for ads speed.
I only have pistols, launchers, knife, shield and one sniper left to do. It's bloody hard going doing those (although the full auto pistol is incredible).

OCD.
To be honest the knife is really easy to level up, just use dead silence, doubletime and play hardpoint. It's quite good fun as well.

Dead silence is a must. Otherwise it sounds like your soldier runs around with bricks on his feet.

Had a couple of goes on DMZ tonight trying to unlock that f*cking M13. Now the server is full of people trying to do the 'car trick' and you end up getting shot by humans in that zone. FML. The map is big enough that I'm quite sure you'd be unlikely to meet people without this stupid unlock requirement.
I'd like an option to do away with PVP in this mode, the bots are hard enough to deal with as it is.

Dmz is quite fun. There's a lot of peeps camping the extraction zones though!
Got out a few times, but also died quite a bit. Random teammates are usually the limiting rate.

Nicked this from Reddit which sums it up perfectly:
The M13B unlock is just RNG on whether you can get there first and hopefully avoid 60 other players trying to do the same thing or prevent you from succeeding at it. MP players are experiencing DMZ in 5 minutes chunks where the literal only thing they do is beeline to the chemist and immediately leave the game.
@frog, if you're still willing to do this drop thing with me in the near future, please let me know and I will offer to do the same for user Timo to share the FG love. I'd need a walk through on how on earth to squad up cross platform though.
Timo I have added you as a friend on Xbox.

Sure thing bud, I will be on most of the day today after about 11. I need to dig out my Activision ID or you can post yours here if you have it before I log on. It should show in your settings in the game I believe, will be your name with a few numbers after it. After that I just add you and can party up from there.

Thanks user Frog and your friend, I am now the proud owner of a shiny M13. I think DMZ is tremendous fun with a voice Comms squad, it's like a sandbox campaign. I still don't agree with the trolls!

No worries. I really do think DMZ is a cool addition, I was never interested in the BR modes either. It's something you need to put time into though and for on and off for an hour at night my dopamine spikes from levelling in Hardpoint and Domination will be just fine.
Do you know the funny thing though is I did nip into core with that M13 before tea and I think it's a bit of a mess! It looks the mutt's but that recoil and fire rate is hard to handle!
My lot aren't really accustomed to me voice chatting. Apparently our daughter asked if I was onto tech support 😂
Was great making your acquaintance and yeah I'm sure I'll be back.

Pineapple foregrip is amazing for handling recoil, by far the best grip.

I spent my afternoon levelling the basilisk pistol against people using meta weapons. Feels like I've done 10 rounds with a prime Mike Tyson.

Warzone DMZ really is a lot of fun, I'm really enjoying it. In fact, it's almost tipped me over the edge in terms of buying MW2 this year. Thing is, I don't know if I'd get it for the MP and then just play this free bit anyway! What's the multiplayer like this year?

I'm a big fan. There are grumbles like every year but the hours I've sunk into it say enough for me. Once you get used to the new way perks work etc it starts to make more sense. Let's face it these games are about how good the guns and shooting feel and I think they're as good as or better than they've ever been.
Did you play the campaign for the last one? Because the campaign is a big plus in itself if you enjoyed it - and tbh the stories aren't that intertwined.

Mp is decent. At least I've been enjoying ground war and invasion modes at any rate until I found DMZ. The core play ws ok, but more usual for CoD. Ohter modes should be added in now.
Tha maps have all been pretty decent too, much improved on last years set imo.

Sounds like most aren't interested in Warzone here, but had a good time playing it yesterday. Don't know others that are playing it, so just playing solo mode and it is incredibly intense. The only other BR game I've really played is Apex and that is a much more frantic affair. The quicker time to kill slows things right down and I've found I'm stealthing about the place, slowly crouching everywhere and lying in wait when enemies are nearby waiting for the right time to pounce.
I found a drone yesterday that let me tag enemies and it was great to hunt someone down like that. Stalking enemies is really satisfying and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. It is a feeling that is very different to what you get in Apex (which I also enjoyed a lot, until everyone became massively better than me).
Only dipped briefly into DMZ and didn't really know what I was doing, but seemed fun. Should give it a bit more of a go.

I tried a Black Ops one a few years back and didn't get on with it at all. Tried Warzone last year when it launched and despite a few hours play I just couldn't get on with it. I know it's the same thing, but for some reason it's clicked with me for 2.0.
