I'm actually optimistic, because I think Bloober Team is good. But I'm also not a Silent Hill superfan as I am for Resident Evil. So if it's good, I'm content enough.

In all seriousness, I'm not that invested and just messing. I haven't cared about a Silent Hill project since 4 so even if it is terrible it's not a big deal and with REmake 4, Deader Space and Not-Dead Space, classic survival horror is looking to be covered pretty well

You what I would like though, I'm all for a BT helmed SH2 remake, and a new SH game, and another Gans film... But a remaster a la Nightdive of SH1, 2 & 3 in the meantime would be lovely. Yeah, it's just... It's silent hill 2 man. I'm not sure it should be touched is all |

I don't think anyone is invested that much in SH any more to be honest. It would just be nice if we got something (anything) decent after 10 years (PT notwithstanding).

The video is out early (classic Konami).
We are getting the SH2 remake by Bloober, as a PS5 console exclusive for a year, and then three more Silent Hill games (by Annapurna, Bad Robot, and Ryukishi). Oh, and a new movie too. Overload much?

Gosh. That's a lot of Silent Hill.
Hard to tell about most of it and even SH2 trailer gave no gameplay.
Still. For a franchise I'd given up for dead, and one I very much love (not rabidly, I'm not a maniac). I'm happy.

Yeah. I’m interested. Happy enough with the stuff about the SH2 Remake, the new entry, and the new Gans film. Few other things that didn’t sit well with me (WTF was that stuff about watching streamers, collectively making choices, and the lore being permanently affected, all about?).
Otherwise, cool. Sounds like everything is still a fair distance away, mind.
PS: the images/aesthetic for the Silent Hill ‘f’ thing didn’t really do it for me. Also couldn’t work out which of ‘Townfall’ (terrible title, btw) or ‘f’ was meant to be the elusive ‘next official instalment in the series’. Maybe I missed something?

I'm mostly optimisitic. 2 looks good, Townfall looks interesting, f looks incredible. I'll be skipping Ascension with its corny text message angle.
I'll probably watch the movie also.

Am I alone in thinking the bits that looked most like gameplay/in-engine footage looked more like the Alan Wake Remaster than it did the Resi 2 Remake?
I’m intrigued and obviously the original is a classic but it did look surprisingly wooden to me.

Think I'm only fussed about the SH2 remake and the film. Not enough was revealed of the others to get me interested. f looks like it's from a different IP, the interactive TV thing isn't for me and I have the sneaky suspicion that Townfall (actually quite like that name though) won't be a SH game in the traditional sense.
Oooh forgot about the toys though. I want them. I mean models. Figures. Whatever. They're toys, and I want them.

I thought the visuals in the SH2 trailer and those stills looked fantastic. Really hopeful for it now, and thankfully no pish about episodic format. Not keen on new additional endings being inserted, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
'f' is an interesting one. Setting sounds cool, though not necessarily something that screams Silent Hill to me. Visuals looked more like The Medium
Little concerned that the 'Ascension' one is going to be either some multiplayer DBD-inspired thing, or alternatively something like the Dark Pictures games, heavy on the decision making stuff.

For the moment, I plan to play the enhanced mod of SH2. When the remake releases, I will certainly check it out but not in a hurry as James' model looked kind of funny to me. As for Silent Hill (wt)f, I'll admit the Fatal Frame vibes it has make it intriguing  For Townfall I think we need more info... |
