Wtf. I'm locked out of the game and can't progress until they patch it. I'm at the labyrinth and have done the rotten area and returned to the hub. No amount of rotations could unlock the next route. After wondering what the hell to do for ages, some research revealed the recent update softlocked / broke the cube puzzle and if you own the digital version on PS5 there's nothing you can do until they patch it again. I really hope that's coming in the next day or two. Nice work, Bloober. |

I managed to escape the apartments...only to end up in some apartments  its all good though. I can't believe I remember feck all about this game. I have completed at least 3 times albeit the last time maybe 15 years ago. It must be my age |

Duffmangb To be honest I always forget big chunks of SH2 and I don't know why. The labyrinth for example. I never remember that's actually a thing.

One thing that did completely take my by surprise was a mandarin boss fight in the hotel ! I'm actually quite glad they've used this enemy a bit more as I always thought it was criminally underused in the original. |

I'm making fairly slow progress. Made it out of the hospital and not entirely sure what is next. I attempted to play some last night, but I kept dying in a diner and sort of gave up.

I assume they'll prioritise it as anyone with a digital version has no way around it. |

Yep, that's the one. And as it indicates if you have a physical copy there's some kind of potential workaround (re-install and make sure you don't install the update). You can't do that for the digital version unfortunately. |

I'm sure it will be patched ASAP. A bit frustrating but it's the way of things these days. One patch fixes stuff, breaks other stuff and on we go.
Easy for me to say of course, I just got past that bit a couple of nights ago...

I'm at 22 hours in this. Which is nuts. Just reached a certain room so I'm getting there.
Have to say I don't really want it to end, even though that's been some of the most stressful 22 hours I've ever had in gaming.

Yeah, I'm also stuck in the Labyrinth atm due to the recent bug, progress blocked for now. Suggested workarounds not successful, at least for me, so waiting on a patch hopefully before I get back to it this evening. Think I'm 17 hours in.
It's my GOTY so far by a country fucking mile, btw. I've absolutely loved it.

It's always a bit frustrating but you're right, waiting definitely does pay off. At least with this game there hasn't really been much to complain about until now in terms of shit needing addressed.

I only started holding off after Cyberpunk was fully patched last year and I was kinda pissed at myself for not waiting for what is a spectacular game after everything was fixed. Silent Hill is nowhere near that but it stuck in my mind and bar 1st party dev games I've generally waited for 3rd party games to sort their shit out. A soft lock is something else though. |

I've absolutely loved it. Yeah, the bug isn't the end of the world but it is frustrating precisely because I was enjoying the game so much and was on a roll. It's excellent despite the issue. Another workaround - Bloober suggested this - is loading a save prior to arriving in the labyrinth. Mine is too far back - I'd need to do the whole prison again. No chance, I'm not ready for that again at this point. |

I just do the odd hour here and there late at night. Seems fitting. And I can't leave an area until all areas and puzzles are explored and solved either. |

I especially waited for Jedi Survivor to be fixed on console and it's still quite janky. But anyway don't want to derail the chat, looking forward to grabbing this most likely for Xmas hols when it should be all done and dusted. Love a good stack of Xmas games to get through while overindulging.
