5v5 down from 6v6

Role passives (DPS run/reload a bit faster after a kill, Healers passively heal themselves, Tanks don't feed ULTs as much)

New hero (healer that looks like the new Moira)

Usual patch update changes, small HP pool changes, couple of primary/secondary fire changes

My issue with Overwatch was always the amount the game rewarded you for doing very little. The idea being everyone feels like they're doing the best, but in practice it just breeds outward negativity.

"We're losing, but I'm doing so well the game is giving me lots of blips and bloops and toasts, so it _must_ be everyone else, right?"

There are no gold medals for amount healed via health packs.

Anyway, hopefully '2' sparks some life back into the franchise. I was looking forward to the PvE mode they've been promising for years but it seems that's been mothballed again.

Will give it go, but not spending money on it, really don't care about gun charms, skins and all that.

Yup. Tried again this morning and the queue was at 20,000, but with zero indication of how long that might take to process.

Finally got a good spell at it last night. Kiriko is a lot of fun, getting headshots with the kunai is so satisfying, I just suck at it. She's particularly good helping out the likes of Genji getting to the back line and teleporting out when it gets dicey, but if your team is sticking to long range there's prob better options.

Looks like they toned down Junker Queen since beta. Other than that, still early days to see what's busted and what's not. Removal of the abilities to create stun prob for the best. I like it overall, even though it does not constitutes a full numbered sequel and should have come as a series of updates these past few years.

Anytime I've tried today it's stuck on the same number. They have my sympathy in trying to sort this all out but it is frustrating.

It's really not a good thing to be heading into the first weekend and being unable to play the game (unless you're on PC and can select the Asia server and get in no problem apparently?)

Was finally able to play a bit of this over the weekend: it's alright. It's a bit overwhelming for a n00b. I had fun with Thorbjorn, Lucio, and boring old Soldier 76, but I daren't play as a tank, or playing as Mercy (or the other wispy support character) seems a fools errand.

After not playing Overwatch for a couple of years this feels exactly the same

Expected a lot more tbh.

The "2" was certainly added in crayon. I only ever played the first game when there was free weekends and while I enjoyed it I never felt ready to pay any money for it no matter how cheap it went. It's still fun but it's very much the same game.

I played this eventually. As somebody who had 500+ hours on the first game it was very easy, because it is exactly the same game....

There are new heroes, new maps, and new modes. But these things happened fairly regularly in OW anyway, so I have absolutely no idea how this can be called OW2. 5v5 does make it a bit different. It is less chaotic and means that players are able to carry more now being that there is only one tank. Is that a good thing? For solo players probably. It made every game really easy for me.

But again changing it to 5v5 is the sort of change OW always made. They previously changed it so only one player could play any one hero, and then changed it to 2 tank, 2 damage, 2 healer. I feel like they had a lot ore planned for OW2, but their disaster company meant it went to hell, and just got banged out as a f2p.

Zarya needs a nerf that’s for sure. It seems like her shield is constantly on and being charged by enemy fire.

New tank hero to be shown off tonight apparently.

Was playing against a Zarya in the Eichenwalde Halloween map and good god her beam actually blinds the screen, it's ridiculous, actively needs fixed.

I'm enjoying the game bar a few heroes that could be tweaked, I'm into 5v5 now. The monetisation aspect is the worst part about it by far. Can't believe I'm defending loot boxes but at least there was a chance of getting what you wanted through regular play, if not use the duplicate coins to buy it directly. I understand its a free to play game and they need to make their money but that reward aspect is gone unless you buy into the premium battle pass. I can't even get the Witch Kiriko skin without buying the whole bundle with real money. Think its something that's gonna change eventually, easiest option would be rewarded coins for every level up, like a 100 or so. 20 level ups or thereabouts for a legendry skin sounds enough of a grind without being unachievable to get the stuff you want. All this stuff in the news now about a physical pachimari charm being less expensive than the in game one is just embarrassing and shows it wasn't well thought out.

Completing the battle pass doesn't even give you the money back with interest for the next one like other battle passes do. And even the shop catalog is bad, if you want a skin you have to wait for it to appear in rotation through the shop. Combine all that with headlines like it will take 5 years of beating every weekly challenge just to get all the unlockables for 1 character and it just all builds up.
