Just wondered since we aren't tagged on the back of a website these days if people go to specific places for their reviews on tech and stuff, or whether they just let the algorithms pick it all put for them ?
I mean for example for photography stuff I still go to dpreview.com, but that's about it.

That sounds like a dodgy porn review site... Risky click!
For games I'd normally start at meta or opencritic and read a couple of names that I'm familiar with. Most tech news I get is from various subreddits.

Just like most of the websites tbh!
I still use Eurogamer for my main source of game news even though the quality is constantly going downhill. Metacritic/Opencritic do the job for review scores. Destructoid still has the odd good article now and again. RPS is a decent read when it's not sniffing its own farts. Still have a soft spot for Metro Gamecentral as it's the successor to Game Central on teletext (which was the successor to Digitiser).
Tech reviews is a bit trickier - tend to just stick to AVForums.

So yeah, this is a thing. Sign ups for alpha phase. It's a bit part-forum, part Insta. Hmm.

For tech reviews, I tend to prefer youtube videos, as they help illustrate quality and issues more clearly. Really like digital trends and rtings for TVs, audio systems and the like. The Verge for phone reviews and hardware.
For news, yeah, I check The Verge and engadget.

Gamer nexus is my main source for modern hardware with hardware unboxed being supplementary.
LGR and Philscomputerlab for ancient computer tech review
And
Technology connections for analysis of everyday stuff. Like 1.5h long video on a fridge

Hey, Microsoft? Your new Authenticator App is a colossal pile of shit, and no it does not need to send push notifications or to ask for my phone passcode all the time.
I was fine before, kindly fuck the fuck off.

I don’t mind that too much, because it’s alerting me that hackers are trying to get into my account. So that notification allowing me to deny it is nice.
