I can only assume VDB is absolutely useless at this stage, to not get a single look in, even as a sub.
We just need Scott to stay fit which is often a trouble. The same players seem to be riddled with injuries. Scott, Rashford, Martial. Never Fred.

According to the Daily Telegraph we assured VDB more game time to stop him going out on loan. Could be newspaper bullshit given the source though.

I'd have thought it was true. He looked very handy at Ajax so I've absolutely no idea what the problem is. I had the feeling at the time it was more of an Ed signing and Ole wanted other players, not unlike Jose and Fred really. If you get told you can have a £30-50m midfielder or fuck all, you just take what you can get.

I'm already ridiculously excited for the Newcastle game in a week. I can't believe I'm going to see Ronaldo at Old Trafford again. The last time was the famous Villa game when Macheda scored. I didn't get my season ticket until a few years after he had left. He might turn out to be a complete donkey in the PL, but I'm going to savour that day. I don't think we'll win the league but I think we could have a good run at a few of the cups with that squad. Would be nice to win something at least this year, then get the midfield sorted and have a real go at the league next season. Even knowing he’ll annihilate us I sort of think Steve Bruce’s Newcastle coming to Old Trafford is the perfect first game for Ronaldo. I’m genuinely looking forward to it. |

I’d really have to question the sanity of our back room staff if they try to sign a gaffe prone right back on a free with big wages while actively struggling to move on the gaffe prone left back they previously signed on a free with big wages. |

I'm really struggling with justifying going to crowded venues. We haven't even been to a restaurant since last March. On the other hand I really miss these events.

On Sunday I get to watch Leeds play a Premier League game in Elland Road for the first time in my adulthood. I’m in my mid 30s.
Shame we’ll probably get tonked by Liverpool, but it’s still very exciting.
