We've been the better team, we've shaded the chances, just got to keep going and hope another breaks our way. Pretty happy with the performance. Can I have what you’re having? Stats have us at 3 'big chances' Vs 1 for Chelsea.

Jackson is an infuriating player. Generally been low quality game imo. Chelsea can't defend for shit.

Htf has Odegaard not been booked there... Rodri level of dark arts.

Saliba looked off tbh.
Still, had quite a few of those today and just can’t finish.

Man alive. Couldn't understand how it didn't end up in the back of the net.

Felt like to me a misfiring Arsenal and slightly unhinged Chelsea, which is how all our games under Maresca have been so far.

(Maybe see if there are any forwards in the January sales?)

Not an entirely unfair assessment Tomo. We played OK but still not fluent. Chelsea had enough to come back as they've got quality players.

Come on, tell me again we shouldn't have won this?
In isolation this was a very decent performance and a good away result against a rival. Better result for us than Chelsea.
Though in the context of the dropped points before this and the not getting a second goal the performance deserved it's disappointing.
Could see the impact of Odegaard. Hopefully we don't get any more injuries next week and then we can start chasing down pool over Christmas period.

We did look so much better with Odegaard so that gives me hope. Still feel that this team will click into gear again by the end of the year - might be too late but crucially it’s Liverpool 9 points ahead, not City.

GD is usually a good proxy for position. Strange to see Spurs with +10 but down in 10th place.

Brentford will be shitting themselves now we are breathing right down their necks.
Arsenal fans, you are closer to us than Liverpool in the league, you will basically need to be almost perfect for the rest of the season to close that gap I reckon.

Plus Man City can't be any worse than they are now.

9 points is a massive gap. Meh, I can't get worried about the league until March. If we're still in with a shout then, great. Otherwise you twist yourself in knots and not actually enjoy what you're watching.

Liverpool have City, Spurs, Utd (maybe resurgent, who knows) and Newcastle coming up. Plenty of chances to fuck up that lead.
Although I'm under no illusions we are in any position to be overly confident against anyone.

sure, but it's better than 10 "9 points is a massive gap." "But 10 is one larger."

It is hard not to be pessimistic, when the last 7 games, we have scored 7 goals, let in 6 and got 2 points in the league. 3 of those goals were against a Championship side.

One game at a time. Where everything shakes out at the end, we'll see. All I care about is beating Forest next up.
