Wow. Well that's a punt isn't it. Not that I could suggest anyone better atm tbh. I think the managers who could actually turn the ship around are either not United people or they'd be too insane to take on the job anyway. Tuchel would've been a decent option, but they missed the boat on that one.
Eddie Howe maybe? Although right now, his stock is a little low. Zizou perhaps purely on how legendary he is might garner some respect..
Oh well, gunna be fun watching Amorim blame this year's 8th position on Ten Hag and then get sacked by Christmas 2025 after signing CR8 doesn't work out.

I am hoping that any appointment will see some upturn in the efforts of the players at least. I do not know too much about Amorim's style of play, but hopefully if he gets the job he can implement one!
How much stock do you put into a manager from a league that is debatabley worse than the Dutch league I don't know.

Worth mentioning that for as high as a win rate as Amorim has with Lisbon, something like 71%, Ten Hag at Ajax had something similar. I am at least happy a replacement was found quickly, but I guess time will tell, it's been a bad season, he'll do well to try and recover from it, I think the intiial test being can he get these bastards playing decently with what he has.

I think the big sign of how well he’ll do won’t be how backed he is in signing new players, its how supportive upstairs will be when it comes to clearing deadwood.
They’re going to have to take a financial hit on virtually every player who needs to go but United will never progress with the stink of players from three or four managers ago on six figure salaries still lingering.
