Why are Arsenal dropping deep? They still have 11 men, surely the best way to counter losing your better CB is not to defend too deep. It's because Kiwior and Partey neither have the pace nor confidence to play a high line. It just felt like when Gabriel went off you were playing as if you were down to ten men, backs to the wall.

Can't really complain too much about the result, although the lino missing that late corner is annoying, Arsenal keep 11 on the pitch but fucking hell it didn't feel like it with the injuries.

It does reinforce just how lucky we were last year with injuries. I can't wait to have a fully fit Odegaard back.

Another frustrating result, but fair on the balance of play. Really need to do work on the ball played into the inside right position, we've been caught out several times this season.

Happy with that. Way better performance level than expected. Arteta's subs actually pretty good at preventing us getting overwhelmed.
We never look like dropping points when we have something approaching a 'normal' side out. It's just we've only had that for about a third of the season so far.
Liverpool were too good not to exploit the make shift defence. Scored the first time we pushed up and left space, post Gabriel. Deserved the draw.
Would like to see that Konate penalty shout again though. Only saw it twice on my stream and I didn't see him get anywhere near the ball.

We basically just need to get through the the new year some what in the title race. Can't afford to drop too many more though. I'd say if we get 10pts behind its too far.

Buy another couple of full backs in January we'll be fine.

You can have Dalot, although there is a good chance he will switch off and forget to move as he seems to do it all the time.
Absolute liability of a full back as he has the concentration span of a gnat.

Of course I’m worried about the injuries, but our two youngsters don’t look out of place at all.

Yeah. Much like when Saka broke through, they’re proving themselves in difficult circumstances, they both look special.

I was particularly impressed with Nwaneri's off the ball work today, really contributed in both directions. The difference in his attitude and work rate between his sub today and Sterling's on Tuesday was enormous.

So fucking annoyed about that game today.
Should have been completely out of sight by half time. I honestly don't know what else you could do as a manager, we were set up perfectly to exploit West Ham and created numerous really high quality chances but hauled to hit the target. Them half time comes and you know West Ham won't be quite as shit.
As such I was not happy even at 1-1, didn't enjoy the equalizer because I was so annoyed with the players BUT that penalty decision left me completely incandescent with rage, it's inexplicable. What you can't see on MOTD was the game went on for a considerable time before it was called back and then just how long the ref looked at it for.
It was obvious coot still didn't think it was a penalty but felt obligated to award it.
It's an absolutely shambolic decision. A draw is likely how it would have ended which wasn't good enough anyway but by Christ that is never ever a penalty.

Can see a manager getting sacked soon, and I include Lopertegui in that.
Some clubs have been utterly disappointing so far this season.

He is definitely in danger, they were gifted a victory today but they were really really poor in that first half and it was similar the other week against Chelsea.
I mean ETH is definitely going to suffer if this keeps up but I don't think you can objectively look at today's game and blame him. At the end of the jose and ole reigns it was obvious players weren't putting it in effort wise. The effort, organisation and creativity was all there today, that just can't hit the fucking target

I’ve only just caught up with the other games. United got robbed there. Another boring VAR decision.

The penalty was ridiculous, but we're 14th because the manager is clueless and the players are useless.

Yeah utterly awful decision for the WH penalty. I think the worst thing for me is that it's clearly a case of the junior ref not wanting to go against the 'big name' ref - he made the right call initially but didn't have the balls to stick to it when Oliver questioned it. To suggest that was a clear and obvious error is just ridiculous.

Another frustrating thing about VAR, what's the point of going to the monitor when you're just going to side with VAR? Have some bloody conviction.

Crikey
Just seen the pen, terrible decision. Especially when contrasted with the Konate one

Again, it wasn't the penalty decision that put us 14th, with 4 losses in 8 games.

I'm not sure if he's the one, but Xavi's Mrs posted an IG story this morning with their son in a United shirt.
Ten Hag should've been let go after the cup win; at least he could have left with his head held high, on a positive. Now, he looks like an failure, unwilling to compromise or be remotely flexible tactically, or react to changes others made and admit he was wrong.
I worry about the squad of mostly useless ex-Ajax players we've let him build, a great deal. I imagine we'll need another clearout.

Was resigned that this was gonna happen. It is a shame, I did want him to do well and 2 trophies in 2 years is better than most (I think it's even next best of all the current PL managers after Guardiola). But the team hasn't been playing well and there is an argument that he brought in a lot of the players currently and still can't be consistent. We defintely haven't been playing well in spite of all the promise and change of personnel.
Now the next manager has a whole bunch of Dutch players to work with and get the best out of possibly resulting in another clearout. Back to square one.

I reckon Van Nistelrooy is now auditioning for the job. That's what I'd do, in my expert opinion.
Not like there's a large market of out of work managers (and the likes of Zidane would be a big gamble), and I'd be a little surprised if they want to spend a lot of money on a manager from another club. Especially if they've got to give Ten Hag and departing staff a few £m too.
