If Everton now get their shit together and stop being a basket case I will be sorely disappointed.

I think he used to be with True Geordie (not that I ever watched him) but had a major falling out. He's had some decent analysis on Arsenal. I think he's a Liverpool fan though.

That's good news. I don't think anyone except Liverpool fans genuinely wants to see a historic club like Everton go under do they?
Only downer is that it's yet another sports group to cause related party headaches. It'll be very interesting to see how they'll sit alongside Roma as there's not a natural 'top dog' there. More money in the PL so you'd imagine Everton will be the priority but then again Roma arguably have the better chance of regular European football and have been the more successful in the past thirty years.

I doubt even Liverpool fans would want Everton to fail. I don't want any clubs to - especially lower league clubs. So tied up in the community, it's a travesty how so many were screwed over.

I dunno.. I wouldn't mind City being flushed right now.

It's even funnier when you consider they also complained about us scoring after taking the free kick too quickly. Hilariously it was also Silva that had moved the ball up the pitch after the whistle had gone that led to complaints about the free kick being taken further up the pitch.

Indeed. Bad enough with West Ham and Man City but the richest (proper) club would be taking the piss.

Rodri out for the season.
Terrible news for him, good news for fans of more competitive leagues.

Shame he had to prove his point about too many games by getting injured

Ha, yeah I genuinely don't know how to feel about this news. Turns out that was probably the most significant moment of all for the season. Might also be the most significant thing Partey ever does to help Arsenal (or Liverpool I guess) win a trophy. The contact didn't look that bad but he was clearly in a lot of pain. Very unfortunate. I hope he makes a full recovery and has a long and successful career. In Spain.

Don't think it was anything to do with Partey, other than matching his run.
Just one of those things
Like Arsenal miss Odegaard's link play for a while, City will miss Rodri, the best DM in the league

Didn't mean to intimate it was Partey's fault, he didn't even make a challenge.
Ironic that this happened to Rodri after he was actually given plenty of rest by Pep. To lose a year of your career at 28, in your absolute prime, is no small thing. Also that's now two of Spain's starting central midfielders from the Euros out with reasonably long term injuries, I guess they are somewhat lucky with the timing.

I'll leave now.

“ Premier League clubs have sent concerns about 'gamesmanship' and Arsenal's repeated use of the "dark arts" throughout last season to the PGMOL”
lol
Let’s go back lads. Get spanked 4-0. Have the banter days back.

Fucking cracks me up. Other clubs have been doing this for years, not to mention City. How many teams go away to a "big" club, nick a goal and then time waste? Virtually all of them. And tbh, it often comes back to bite them in the arse, as it did Arsenal.

That is incredible. I mean Arsenal have been blocking off keepers and fouling players in the box, pulling people back from blocking, getting away with penalty shouts for the last year and a half but City are the worst tactical foulers in the league, Rodri and his fellow midfield compatriots like Silva have a yellow card resistant teflon coating.
Just do the obvious foul in the opponents defensive third before they get to midfield and you're golden apparently.

Have the banter days back. To be fair that statement doesn't mean most other teams haven't also been complained about. It's so frustrating and Arsenal aren't one of the teams that springs to mind personally.

That is absolutely incredible. Surely the obvious counter is that the ball was in play more than any other game in the second half? Man City had the ball pretty much the entire time and did very little with it.

Lets see if Newcastle at the weekend get up to their old tricks, or are we thinking a 4-0 spanking?

Sorry, "throughout last season" ? Sunday wasn't exactly standard practice.
It is true that we regularly take the maximum time allowed on throw ins, which I don't like as it stresses me out that we'll get bookings. However we do it in in all game states whether we're drawing, winning or losing so it's hardly a subtle dark out.
Think it's come from the Daily Mail so it's almost certainly clickbait bollocks. Were it a genuine collective complaint I may actually need to go and fashion a tin foil hat as I simply can't fathom how what we do crosses the line after literal decades of watching teams come to Emirates and serve up 90mins of this stuff without a man disadvantage.
