Some good buys this window for you guys I think.
Looks like Eddie is off to Palace. Think he wanted to stay in London, hence the move to Forest broke down.
We could do with more up front, esp with Jesus injured gain. It's a bit worrying that we'll run Saka, Havertz into the ground

Looks like Ugarte is sealed then, that's the incomings done you'd think. Still possibly 3 more departures in Sancho, Lindelof and Eriksen.
Edit: See it was already mentioned.
Happy with the signings made. Ineos have done a serious amount of business both in and out this summer and moved on a lot of the players who have been around for forever. It's going to take more time but they're really started a full rebuild of the team barring one or two players.

Like you say, Saka basically plays every game and then you've only really got Jesus and Trossard to come into the team as rotation.

I'm guessing there isn't a player that fits our criteria, that is also within a budget. I think we said this window we wouldn't be spending Rice money. Nico Williams is the player really, but I think he's probably set on Barca, also the price tag..

Yeah, I think this is a consequence of our spending in the last 2 years. Everything is basically coming out at net. It's probably why Nelson will stay until Jan at least too.

I think there are still options.
Buys Williams: worth a go if we have the money Adingra: Brighton are overloaded with forwards and may be planning to lose one. Mitoma: See above. Pedro: see above. Ferguson: see above.
Loans: Sterling (dependent on salary contribution) Coman (dependent on the medical)
Might yet be a surprise name not picked up by the media.
I think we will get someone else if Eddie leaves. If we can't get a tier 1 option viewed as a potential long term solution, then a short term loan or another Trossard esque tier 2 option is fine with me. They only have to be better than Eddie and Nelson.
Just don't give a 28+ year old a 4 year £300k/w deal as that's ultimately what kills you when they inevitably decline after 18 months. I'd rather we make do with what we have than take that risk.

McTominay on his way to Napoli too. I don't like the slagging he's been getting, been with us for a while and I personally would have liked him as a squad player still. But should be interesting to see Ugarte

I'm delighted he is off, very limited player and because he scored a few goals last season he is regarded as this great option. He scores about 1 in 10 games across his career and doesn't offer a great deal else other than putting in a shift without defensive stats to back it up.
Nothing against him but if we want to be pushing champions league we need better options than him.

Well he is a defensive engine with excellent tackling stats, which is something the team is sorely lacking so it definitely raises the ceiling. Him, Mainoo and Casemiro should be fairly balanced. I'm not sure it's possible to balance a midfield with Bruno in it but hopefully this helps.

But should be interesting to see Ugarte Scott only goes with best wishes from everyone I think. Ultimately not a starter and with the last year of the contract looming, the deal makes a hell of a lot of sense. He had some great moments in a United shirt and he's another academy graduate the staff and club can be very proud of. Other, better players, not so much.

Tremendous news for all of you worrying about Chelsea's goalkeeper situation; they've bought Mike Penders from Genk for £17m.

I wouldn’t want him to go but if you could put Isak in the middle with Saka and whoever else either side that would be a beautiful attacking combination. Price and injury record probably not ideal for Arsenal either.

I think Arsenal would offer that kind of money for him if there was any hope of a deal but I imagine there's zero chance until he's got a year left on his contract or something.

Chelsea signing even more goalkeepers lol, but somehow still have the most below average first choice.

Isn't that 7 keepers now? If one or two of them turn out to be half decent they can flip them and make some sweet profit. Surely if you chuck cash around and hoard a bunch of players you're bound to have some success at some point.

Genuine question, but how are Chelsea allowed to sign this many players with FFP?

You can only register 25 players aged 21 or older. No amount of financial tricks change this fact.

If you buy all the players and keep doing it, eventually you will have all the players and win by default.
Smart thinking by Chelsea

Not easy to flip keepers that aren't playing for profit as Arsenal are finding with Ramsdale. £17m is probably still a top 50 highest GK transfer fee.

It's a bit worrying that we'll run Saka, Havertz into the ground I'd come right around to the idea of Nketiah even at the relatively high price, so I'm disappointed about this. Think he would have linked up nicely with MGW, Hudson-Odoi and Elanga.
