Hilarious from Diaz goading the red card there. Barges into someone, takes the forehead brush and launches himself on the ground. Stupid from Schar and now the whole crowd is pissed. Two yellows would have sufficed, pathetic decision

I'm pretty sure it's the correct decision by the letter of the law. Doesn't mean Brereton Diaz should be any less embarrassed, absolutely shameful. Schar would probably have been sent off regardless. Joelinton scoring

Good to know you can grip opponents around the throat and push their heads into the ground now without any consequence.

Good to know you can grip opponents around the throat and push their heads into the ground now without any consequence. It's just ridiculous. I guess if you're taking a very laissez-faire interpretation of violent conduct law you could take the view that it's not a red. But it's clearly a yellow. Wasn't subtle.

One last chance for teams to collect their 3 points from Goodison.

Always nice to beat Wolves and we looked sharp for most of that.

Add sexual harassment to the list of things that are tolerated on a football pitch. What match is this? For once not a Partey reference: Jesus got his ass felt up for no apparent reason then got booked himself for reacting.

I mean more in like a full 90 min stretch. Interestingly ETH said that Mazraoui was pulled off because he isn’t at full fitness yet. Wonder if it’s something to do with that. I’d like to see increased squad depth leading to substitutions more often myself. For such an injury prone team it can surely only benefit United. I dread to think what Fernandes is held together with inside, presumably string and blu-tack.

Always nice to beat Wolves and we looked sharp for most of that. There was a spell that Wolves had a lot of the ball but fortunately couldn't do anything with it, Arsenal certainly looked very much in control other than that.
I wouldn't be too surprised if the Havertz "assault" doesn't even get mentioned on MotD.

Slot not fucking about with his substitutions.
Hauling off Quansah at half time for not winning enough duels.
Certainly set the tone for a big improvement in the second half.

Great start from Villa. Absolutely dominant at the moment.

Strange penalty, Sky usually overkill with the multiple angles but only showed one.
VAR comms suggested defender won the ball but they felt he didn't mean it??

What’s the Referee Twitter account saying?

So Vila player did win the ball first, yet the ref, VAR and the Sky studio thinks the penalty is the correct call.
No surprise that they are going to screw up the VAR once again this season.

Good win away. Duran on his way to redemption. West Ham weren't that great apart from Kudus who was excellent.

It did get shown after all! The Jesus incident was not.

No idea how Joe Hart has got the MotD gig. He was terrible in the Euros and a complete robot again tonight.

He probably prefers the term "artificial goalkeeper", he's certainly not a good replacement for Wrighty.

I don’t know why they didn’t make more of that Havertz incident. It was certainly more violent than what Schar walked for.

Wonder if the fuzz are on it I don't think it's a big enough deal to warrant pursuing punishment for the Wolves player. It wasn't quite as bad as that rugby league weirdo who did it more aggressively and repeatedly. However I wish there was a way to get Jesus's yellow rescinded. Partly because 5 yellows gets a ban and partly just on the human level it's an injustice. If someone has shoved a digit into your arse crack without your permission you have a right to push them away. On a football pitch or anywhere else. It's all there on video. I guess maybe if the ref didn't see it, there may be grounds for appeal. Or can you not appeal yellow cards?

Can’t appeal a yellow unfortunately, only straight reds
